Mrs Margret frowned her eyebrows at the girl's response,she asked another question "Why are you in such a messy State by the way?" 

Becky's face turned sour, like she had just been fed a flea. Why would this old woman care about her appearance? It is none of your business!

Those were the thoughts on Becky's mind,but she did not have enough courage to cough them out,and it's not like she could snub the question either as the old executioner did not look like she would be leaving anytime soon.

"M-my mom is sick,s-so i-i'm sick too, that is why I look this way" Becky lied timidly. She could not come up with a better excuse under the pressure,so she opted for the most popular one her brain could give her. But who was she kidding;of course Mrs Marget would not believe such an obvious lie. Now she was in serious trouble.
