Capítulo 48: lunch with the geng

"Don't worry yourself too much about it,we will get him another time" Harrison patted his shoulder and walked away, there was nothing he could do about this case even if he wanted to so he just left.

The baldy stared at Harrison's back as the latter kept moving further away,he thought about Harrison's words and decided to follow it,he would get his seat changed later and also a new set of uniform.

He looked at his class once more and finally left.

Alex caught sight of Becky and Ken at the entrance to the cafeteria,both were chatting happily,not minding the weird looks the students who passed by shot towards them.

Becky was quick to notice Alex's presence after the latter moved a little closer,she waved fervently at him from the side.

Ken obviously saw her action and turned back to see who she was so ecstatic to see only to behold Alex,his nemesis, walking towards them.

He couldn't forget how Alex continuously smashed his expectations when Becky sneaked into their room the previous day.

Starting from then,Ken had decided to be careful of his actions and thoughts whenever he was with Alex and a girl, to avoid getting his heart stabbed again with vinegar.

Alex smiled awkwardly seeing how Ken reacted to his arrival. Yesterday was a complete misunderstanding. Besides, Ken wasn't like this, this morning,why the sudden change?

The trio went in together and settled around a round table with only three seats in the cafeteria to enjoy their lunch. They started to chat about how their class sessions went, starting with Alex.

Becky and Ken almost laughed to tears after hearing about the Baldy's incident from Alex, albeit Alex omitted the part where he swapped the seats because he did not want to get nagged to explain how he did it,they still laughed at the Baldy's predicament.

Even Alex couldn't help but feel that the baldy really had bad luck, out of all the students in the school,he just had to pick Alex as his playmate,very unfortunate.

Next was Becky,her day was quite normal, everything went as usual except for the fact that the other girls who occasionally bullied her didn't even spare her a glance,they all had gloomy faces like someone fed them shit during their sleep.

Becky guessed that Alex's words might have probably dealt quite some damage.

After her story was Ken's turn.

"So how was your first day at class?" Becky beamed at Ken,Ken froze halfway through chewing the meat in his mouth.

"Well....it was....okay?" Ken muttered softly, unsure of his own answer,his face also turned red for some reason.

Alex seemed to understand and smiled at Ken meaningfully, Becky was at a loss as she couldn't understand the two guys before her,so she patiently waited for either of them to explain what their expressions were about.

"Say...you didn't turn into a human toy and got a lifetime teasing, did you?what did they do to you?blow in your ears? rubbed your arms? showed you their napes? Oh poor little Ken,you are getting seduced already" Ken turned even more red hearing Alex's joking voice,he was too embarrassed that he couldn't even muster a reply.

'So that's how it is' Becky who quickly understood the reason for Ken's reaction and laughed comically,she was amused at how Ken got into such a situation,well the girls in the school were indeed direct ladies.

"Hey,how about we hang out together sometimes,not only in the cafeteria, after all we are already friends right?we should hang out more often"Becky proposed after they had a nice round of laughter.

Ken, who was already back to normal, just looked at Alex unblinking, almost like he wanted to burn a hole through the blonde fella with his gaze.

Alex felt very uncomfortable with the way Ken was staring at him so intently,he wondered if it was really necessary for Ken to stare at him like that.

Alex moved his gaze to Becky and discovered that she was also staring at him,he was baffled, seriously? Were these two kids really seeing him as some sort of bad news or something?

Alex really had the thought of making their expectations come true,he should reject the offer.

Becky and Ken on the other hand were feeling very anxious,they didn't know if Alex would agree or not, though they really wanted him to agree so they tried to make sad puppy eyes but failed miserably as their gazes only made Alex uncomfortable.

"Fine,we can hang out sometimes" Alex decided to compromise, although he really wanted to refuse, seeing the way the two lads were looking at him, he could already guess that they won't stop nagging him until he agreed.

So he just agreed to their demands, moreover, hanging out wouldn't be such a bad idea right?

Ken and Becky both raised their hands and clapped them together in a double high five gesture, with bright smiles on their faces like they had just won a lottery jackpot.

The other students looked in their direction with scorn vivid in their faces.

"What's that loser doing with them?" The girl with heavy makeup asked her group, looking at Becky with hateful eyes.

"No idea,they just started chatting with each other this morning at the entrance,I thought it was just a casual conversation between students,I didn't expect it to be up to this extent,that jeaga bastard is even friendly with her"another girl sneered in response.

The rest of the group just shrugged, signifying that they had nothing to say on the matter. Many other discussions arose among other students in the cafeteria,this of course, revolving around the trio,Alex,Ken and Becky.

The trio obviously heard their gossiping but weren't bothered about it,to be more precise,they felt too lazy to show any objections.

After lunch,Ken went to accompany Becky to the library to do some research while Alex chose to go test out some spells,he felt he wasn't training enough (you don't really need to, bro),how was he going to survive in Niniola when he gets there (you are an immortal).

He headed straight to the first floor after exiting the cafeteria with many eyes trailing his back and many more whispers started among the students in the cafeteria.
