Capítulo 122: Savior

Mariela's POV

The horse galloped on the fields while I controlled the reins; I felt nervous knowing Archer and Angela were alone; I didn't want my sister to share her previous illness with Archer. I want his affection back without pity or anything but only love.

I inhaled the fresh air while I could feel the early morning breeze brushing my face, and I couldn't deny I missed the plantation, but nothing could beat the feeling of emptiness as I remembered Archer's treatment of me, and I couldn't accept that his love for me was gone.

We used to ride together with Andrea and Kent, and my early morning rides with him at his aunt's estate was among the best memories I had with him, and I could no longer stop myself from reminiscing the past as I looked at the cacao plantation.
