Capítulo 26: The Investigation.

The room was bleak and dull. The smell of dust lingered everywhere.
The crime scene; although fake looked quiet real, except for the straw doll with blood of course.
Satoru checked out every nook and cranny of the room.
Carefully moving furniture as not to destroy evidence if any. After he had inspected all the main areas and even details one wouldn't think to look, he asked a few questions to the standby officers of the test.
With all that, he had gather some information.
The name of the victim was Cuga Shinda, he worked in the maintenance of the drainage system of Konoha. He was very well respected in his field and would often take a leading role in the maintenance.
The window was closed and shut tight, he also checked if there was anyway of closing it from the outside via some tricks but he found out it could only be closed from the inside.
The body was laying face-front, with a knife dangling out of his neck and his right arm in an awkward position. The position of the knife and the blood was as if the victim had taken his own life but there wasn't any suicide note to prove that he did in fact commit suicide.
The neighbours and relatives' statements were along the lines of him being a very optimistic and healthy person, and hadn't a history of in taking alcohol or such. Everyone described him as a very an open, friendly and easy to get along guy. They were bewildered that such a guy would take his own life.
The shops that were open until late night stated that he came to his house at his regular time and no one else came with him, before or after. However, they also stated that he was acting a bit strange at the night of the incident. His face was stone cold and expressionless, like he quite wasn't himself. He also wasn't responding to any of the concerns of the shopkeepers or the workers there.
Some of the books, files and clothes inside the cupboard and drawer were quite messy, but the others were placed neatly.
After checking everything Satoru sent the body for an autopsy.
The results stated that the victim had died of blood loss from the cutting of his arteries in his neck, which was quite obvious already.
There was no signs of rotting of any kind or insect involvement, clearing the Aburame Clan out of the entire ordeal.
Disease or alcohol was also not involved.
Drugs was out of question as there were next to no drugs in the ninja world, due to the presence of Chakra making the bodies of even civilians stronger and immune to most diseases.
There was also no residual Chakra anywhere, meaning the involvement of ninjas was also not possible.
All of this leads to a perfectly normal suicide but the Satoru thought otherwise,
'There is no suicide note, usually when people commit suicide, it is either because of guilt or anxiety, and to relieve themselves of that guilt, they write a note,
'Yes, there are still exceptions but even in such cases, changes in the behavior of the person can be seen long before the suicide, yet they were only seen on the day of the victims death,
'So this can't be a suicide..., unless the guy got rejected in the most cold hearted and worst way possible, after which he felt like a useless piece of garbage who should stop existing for humanity's sake..., yeah, that is also possible,'

'Putting all these pieces together,' Satoru processed all the information using his 560000IQ brain and started piecing them together.
SNAP!
He snapped his fingers indicating that he had figured it all out. He then headed towards the training camp where he was supposed to report and be judged whether he passed or failed.

POV of one of the standby officers that was assisting Satoru in the test:
This guy! Did he really just complete the entire investigation in a few hours?... No no no no, it can't be even the great me, took 5 days to complete my investigation.
I refuse to believe a brat like him can surpass the great me, plus this was a difficult one. He couldn't have!
But he is the son of the Clan head but he is just adopted and is a talentless, chakraless kid with only a strong body to boast for.
There is no way a brat(Kozo) like this can pass, he will fail, definitely! Miserably.
A few minutes later...

Back to Normal POV.
"USO!!!-," the standby officer's eyes were popping out of shock looking at the Satoru striding away smiling, with a badge in his hand while the people gave him a round of applause.
"H-He p-p-passed!!!, No! No! No! There must be some huge mistake, I will have to check it for myself."
The officer went to the training camp reception and asked for the report submitted by Satoru, which the officer in charge was very happy to give a copy of.
When the dude read the report he was left shocked, his fingers trembling, his mouth open so wide that a human head would probably fit inside it.
"Hey, the flies are going to wind up in your mouth if you keep it that open, ya know."
Hearing the officer, the dude closed his mouth and gulped as he kept on reading and at the end commented, "Insanity, this guy, he is insane. How did he get this much info from only a couple of hours?!"
The report was like this:
Report of Mr. Cuga Shinda's Murder.
February 10th, Year 78, Saturday.
Reported for duty at 10:30 AM and spent the first 30 minutes checking the crime scene. Body was sent for autopsy at 11:00 AM and results were in at 3:00 PM. After a detailed examination and interrogation of the neighbours and nearby shop owners.
From all the evidence it was concluded that the perpetrator was someone from the Yamanaka Clan.
Reasons for the conclusion: The Mind Body Switch Technique of the Yamanaka Clan can allow one to take over a person's body This makes it so that the criminal to take control of the victim and take his/her life before escaping by deactivating the Mind Body Switch Technique.
This explains the weird behaviour right before the death of the victim. This also explains the lack of Chakra residuals as the Mind Body Switch Technique uses very little Chakra and by the time the victims body was found, the Chakra residuals had already disappeared.
Motive of murder: Cuga Shinda worked in the Drainage system of Konoha, a perfect hiding spot for many shady people. The former Root base was also located around here.
The Root gathered children from many different clans and trained them into killing machines, although the organization itself was destroyed 6 years ago, there is still the possibility of survivors who are still working.
Let's say that Cuga accidentally stumbled into their territory, which is the most probable case. Yamanaka's are excellent sensor and the perpetrator must have sensed Cuga and chased him down, but instead of killing him on sight, he instead used the Mind Body Switch Technique and took over Cuga's body, went to his home after reading his memories, killed himself to throw off any suspicion.
The perpetrator's mind went back to the original body the moment Cuga died. This also explains the shut window and doors.
Conclusion: Cuga Shinda was murdered.
