I'm meeting a friend of mine for lunch today. Apparently we were both dropped off at an orphanage not long after we were born. Growing up there i never found out who left me there or who my real parents were, but i dont care. I have a friend.
Her dream was apparently to become a Police officer or something, to help people. But me? i never really wanted to do or become anything spesific, never really had any goals in life and just sort of went with the flow of things. Right now im working at a pretty decent restaurant as a waitress, though i have worked a lot of different jobs over the years. It wasn't always good and fun but through it i ahve picked up a lot of different skills and learned tricks to help here and there.
Anyways.
Today im supposed to be meeting my friend for lunch, she's out patrolling today so we thought it would be nice to meet up at a place near where she was today. It was a nice looking place and i took a seat on one of the outside 2-person tables. Soon someone came out and game me a menu.
"What to get... Hmm"
I think ill just wait until she gets here before i get anything.
*Nearby radio*
**Recently there have been Bombings in random cities, but no group or individual has claimed them as theirs, so nobody has found out who is behind them yet. If you see anyone that looks Suspicious please contact the police**
Oh right. There was that, some Terrorists or whatever had been bombing random places for seemingly no reason. I heard they had severly damaged a lot of buildings and quite a few people got cought up in it aswell. Nobody knows why they're doing it.
"Oh, i can see her over there, she really stands out in that Uniform, it looks good on her."
Just as the waitress was coming back outside and i was about to get up and say hi, it happend. A Blinding Light, Immense heat and an extremely loud noise.
BOOOOOM!!!
I instantly got thrown to the ground and landed flat on my back, the ground hitting the back of my head. My head really hurt and my ears were ringing, but taking a second to check meself i was mostly completely fine. Looking around i found the waitress from earlier next to me on the ground. She was facing away from me.
"H-hey?"
"You okay?"
...
She wasn't answering and wasn't moving... I flipped her over to face me.. but...
There was a large peice of Metal in her chest and a lot of blood...
She was dead...
I tried to stand up.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!
"AH!"
I ducked down again... Those were gunshots. There was still a lot of smoke and dust in the air so i couldn't see well or figure out what was happening. I know i should probably run but... but i need to check if my firend is fine.
Just as i was getting up to look for her.
BANG!

" Oh, that's not good"
I fell down again. My chest felt wierd. Looking down at myself i could see it, i was bleeding... a lot. Looks like i got hit in a very bad spot cause my blood was just pouring out of me. I started feeling colder and colder, my vision fading. But i could somewhat see a person moving towards me while saying something.
I was meeting Emilia for lunch today. Apparently there was a place my partner really liked on the same street so we were going to split up for lunch so i could go and eat with Emilia.
As we were walking down the street i saw the place where Emilia was and just as she stood up and i was about to wave at her...
BOOOOOM! - There was a big explosion.
I got knocked over but didnt get hit by any Shrapnel or anything else, but looking over at my partner... He wasnt so lucky and caught a bif piece right in the neck. I didn't even have to check him to know. He had died Instantly.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Someone was shooting. Due to the Dust and Smoke i couldnt see well but there was someone walking around shooting the wounded people. A portion of the smoke cleared and he spotted me.
He saw me and i could see him. He had a gun in his hand. As he moved to shot me i drew my own pistol and we both fired at the same time.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
He only got 1 round off which hit me right in the bulletproof vest and stopped. Before one of mine hit him right in the head and he dropped to the ground dead.
"Ow"
What? That voice! Emilia! I'd recognise that voice anywher-
*Thump*
"Something just hit... the... ground..."
I ran towards the noise, and to my horror, Emilia was on the ground bleeding a lot from a gunshot to the chest. I could tell it was bad, she was bleeding a lot and had lost a lot of blood. Too much blood. I held her hand... It was getting colder and colder.
I couldn't save her.
Just as everything was going dark and my conciousness was fading i felt something.
Someone is holding me... It's... It's warm.
