Capítulo 209: Balancing

I messed up. I don't know which of my words made Zyph upset. But I do understand that this one is my fault.

"Progenitor, you seem troubled. Are there still bullets lodged somewhere?"

"No, but thank you for the concern."

Currently, I am inside the sewers again with Fauna and the family I saved earlier. Fauna had just finished helping me pick out the bullets that were lodged in my body that managed to hit me during the fight.

Even though I tried to use all my powers while careful to not exhaust myself, the new rifles were too much to withstand on my own.

While I did not leave a single survivor in that fight, coming out unscathed was basically impossible because they switched to Anti-Magic rounds after seeing how it was effective on me.

I just hope nobody was able to run away at that time because I couldn't chase them even if I wanted to.

But thanks to that fight, the family I intended to rescue managed to escape safely with Katla's help.
