Capítulo 14: Human!?

Serena had reached were she had left Dante a few minutes ago. On getting there she quickly noticed that he was no more there. The crystals surrounding the hole he was in had not been destroyed so she wondered why he left. Serena had dropped him here precisely because she knew that Nano crystals were the hardest thing she knew on Earth at the current moment.

Serena felt pains from the side of her stomach at the moment. She had felt it a lot when she was running to the spot she left Dante. She never checked why though because she was too focused on finding him. On looking at her side she realized that she had been stabbed by a piece of wood. Touching the wound she immediately remembered the time the tree had collasped on the three worms and bursted into pieces. She had taken cover, however it seemed like she was not fast enough. The injury seemed to be quite deep but she knew she could not do anything about it until she found Dante. Enduring the pain she removed the wood from her side before covering her wound with a handkerchief from her pocket. Afterwards she began to run once again till she came across a frightening image. One of the worms had been killed by some kind of a creature she was unaware of. It's head had been buried into the ground with majority of it's crystal skin broken into pieces. Serena wondered which kinda of monster was capable of doing something like this. She was not able to pass through the worms crystal skin no matter how hard she tried, however this monster had taken it out with just one punch to the head. She knew this because of the fist print in its head. Not wanting to assume the worst Serena continued to move. Now it was understandable why Dante moved in the first place.

"Serena!?", Dante said kinda confused at the moment. "I am glad to see you are okay."

Strangely the figure said nothing which made him a whole lot more uncomfortable. Dante believed this had to be Serena as he was convinced that this could not be another human.

"Serena is everything okay?", Dante asked a little bit worried now.

But there was no response as well. Dante was confused as hell so he began to step back little by little for his own safety, however that seemed to be impossible. The figure dashed out at high speed towards Dante with a dagger in hand, speed that was higher than what he had witnessed with Serena. By pure instincts, he rose his right hand which was equipped with the gauntlet in order to defend the attack.

Clang!

Dante opened his eyes shocked for two separate reasons. First was the fact that this person wanted to kill him for some reason and second was the fact that the gauntlet was strong enough to defend something like that. A piece of metal could be seen in the air before falling to the ground. It was a piece of the dagger the person had used to attack him. Apparently the gauntlet was so strong that it had broken it in half.

"What the heck is wrong with you!?", Dante asked infuriated.

"How do you know Serena?", The person said catching him by surprise.

This person was really a human being just like he had suspected and a female for that matter. It made sense why he mistook her for Serena, however the only difference was that Serena did not wear masks. She was in a jumpsuit and had similar physical features just like her.

"So you won't answer huh? Then I will just take you out of the picture", the lady said preparing herself for an offensive.

"Stop! You want to kill another human when it's possible that only three of us out here?", Dante asked clearly surprised by this.

"Don't tell me you think that we are the only humans in this world? What has Serena been telling you this whole time. Anyways it's time to end this."

Dante stood in a defensive position preparing for the worst. In an instant the lady had covered a wide distance aiming right for his face, though he was able to dodge successfully before landing a powerful blow on her with his gauntlet. The force was so great that it pushed her about five meters away, however Dante knew it was not enough to finish the job.

Based on the Density gauntlet's information, the higher the defense the stronger the attack. Naturally humans weren't so tough so it was likely that his attacks were not going to kill her. Dante considered what he did as a lucky shot. This person was most likely unaware that he had been attacked by Fractures which were faster than she ever could. It was mostly likely he would be able to evade her to some extent.

"Stop it! I don't want to fight you!", Dante shouted out.

The strange individual stood up to her feet revealing her face in the process. It would seem that the punch Dante had given her had broken the mask into pieces. She spit out a little amount of blood before looking at him with a smile.

"I knew it. There is no way you are human. I saw you kill that worm with your hands back there, heck I even wonder how you got so high up in the air", she said causing Dante to widen his eyes in surprise. "You are too dangerous to be left alive."

Without any more delay she ran towards Dante connecting her fist to his gut in one swift motion. In response he was pushed back to a tree where he made impact with his back. The woman attacked one again not giving Dante space to recover. Not wanting to get hit again he attacked as well only for her to evade his attack and connect his gauntlet to the tree he had hit previously. A powerful shockwave was created when the tree shattered into pieces. Using the opportunity she had, the lady quickly grabbed his right hand in which he had equipped his gauntlet and swung him around before tossing him away, removing his gauntlet in the process.
