Capítulo 12: Density gauntlet

Dante was thinking back on what he had told Serena previously. It was the same words that brought him into this situation in the first place. The worm struggled violently to eat through the hole as the crystals blocking it's path was too tough to break in one go. Using the opportunity, Dante climbed up the hole a little bit reaching the worm which was struggling to break through. He was close enough for his sword to reach it but was not too close that the worm would reach him. Swinging his Anti-Fracture sword hard, it collided with the worms crystal skin bouncing back as a result. When the sword was pushed back, Dante fell down to the bottom of the hole because of the force. Lucky for him he did not get any form of injury, it would be a bad idea for him to use his Nano Lites right now as they could be useful later on. What happened had just confirmed Dante's suspicion. It seemed like the sword only worked on Fractures. This was a bad idea thing as he would most likely face other creatures in this world as well.

The worm gave off another terrifying scream which caused Dante to hold his ears tight once again. Because of their close proximity the sound was too much for him to handle so he passed out.

Serena was running from the four worms which were currently far away from her. If was a game of endurance she believed that the worms would outshine her so she decided to face them head on. Jumping to a branch of a huge tree she knelt on one knee taking aim of one of them. She did her best gathering Nano Lites into this one shot resulting in a highly concentrated bullet. Serena fired at one of the worms with this only for it to bounce off and head in the opposite direction demolishing part of a tree's stem.

"What is their skin made off? I will never kill them like this", Serena said a little bit frustrated.

The worms released a scream that caused Serena to cover her ears intensely. She looked at the creatures using the chance to get in a shot. Concentrating little energy in her next shot, she fired aiming for the gill like structure of the worm. Surprisingly it did damage as the worm shrieked before rushing to the tree she stood on with faster speeds than before. It slammed hard against the tree causing Serena to fall on the large branch.

"You don't like that, do you?", Serena said laughing. "Well that's not all."

She quickly released the Nano Lites from the bullet she shot at the worm resulting in some sort of explosion that killed the creature immediately. Angered by the lose of their brother the worms rammed intensely against the tree making it impossible for Serena to get another clear shot.

"Oh come on!", She shouted while grabbing the branch tightly.

Dante woke up feeling an intense headache. On remembering he had past out he quickly turned around only to see that the strange worm like creature had vanished. He immediately began to climb up until he reached the top. On getting to the top he saw the worm heading else where.

"Damn it! That's were Serena went", Dante said in realization.

At this point, he knew he had to do something to stop this creature. He immediately used his abilities search function to find an item that could help him take down this creature. After few seconds it had found the weapon he was looking for.

[Density breaker: These gauntlet has a unique ability that enables it to break through defenses, the higher the defense the more the attack power. It also helps restore Nano Lites. 1 point per hour]

"What's a Nano crystal?", Dante asked the system.

[The hole you were in not to long ago contains Nano crystals]

Dante rubbed his head feeling kinda dumb. From the name he should have known it was the crystals emitting Nano Lites. He quickly ran back into the hole in search of any crystal that may have been broken. Lucky for him there were more than enough of these crystals around.

"How much Nano Lites do I need to make a small ball made of metal?"

[For materials that existed on Earth before it's evolution, Nano Lites used would be based on size and quantity. For a ball of metal 2 Nano Lites will be adequate]

This was good news. It meant that Dante didn't need to fully depend on the creation of equipments because he could already make some useful things himself.

He quickly put his hands together creating a ball of metal in the process. After this he put both crystal and metal together resulting in the air around his hands combusing and releasing sparks of red energy in the process. Before he knew it he was all done crafting the Density gauntlet. Without taking it's details in Dante quickly equipped it before running out of the hole in pursuit of the worm. He knew that at this rate he would be unable to catch up to the huge worm so he decided to carry out and experiment.

Dante put his hands behind him and did the impossible. He had created a gust of wind which was strong enough to propel him forward. Because of what he had done, he had consumed the remaining Nano Lites in his body, however he had completed his goal. From above he could see the large worm heading towards the place were the rest of it's kind gathered. It was about one mile away from them but it was catching up quickly. Dante was astonished by the fact that Serena had ran such a distance to lure the worms away.

Gradually he began to descend in the direction of the worms head. This was exactly what Dante wanted so he braced himself. Dragging his fist back, he prepared to punch this creature hard when something unexpected happened. The gauntlet on identifying a target changed from it's metallic form to a crystal like one with a red glow. Dante had not noticed this since all of his attention was on the worm. Eventually Dante reached it's head punching with great force which sent shockwaves that went through the whole garden.
