"He is fast asleep," Cabe chuckled, staring at Ivan, who was dead to the world in the armchair. "That's what happens when you burn the candle on both ends."

"Oh yeah. He tried to stay awake, but the second that blanket was on him, he was out," I smiled, looking at my mate, who was snoring so loud I'm sure they heard him down the hall. "You get off work?"

"Yeah, I traded shifts, so I'm free tonight. I would go home, but your guard dogs don't want me alone anymore."

"I'm sorry about them, Cabe." I sigh, thinking of Vince and Luke, who'd become as protective of him as they were of me.
