Nefera leans against me, sighing as the hot water touches her sore body. 

"Better?" I chuckle, rubbing her tense shoulders as we sit in the bathtub.

"You have no idea," she mumbles. "I have to tell you, my trainer is a ruthless, cruel slave driver. He didn't give me one ounce of rest today."

I can't help laughing at her as I pull her up a little more.

"Oh, is he that bad?" I tease, kissing her neck.

"Relentless," she whines, glancing back at me. "He had me doing squats and things like that for over an hour."

"Oh, that's awful," I make a face, acting like I sympathize entirely. "How could anyone do that to you?"

Nefera snorts, unable to keep up the pretense anymore, and I join her. It wasn't easy to be the one to train Nefera. Not only was it nearly impossible to set aside the fact she was my mate, but everything she did made me want her.
