Capítulo 15: Chapter 9 part 1 A spider's web
Rexs view….
It has to be at least day six of being down here and we're finally at what feels like the last stretch. This giant stone door is what leads to last of the tombs, the door has markings on it along with some torches on the walls that seem to grow hotter the closer someone is to them. I walk up to red to see if he has an idea on how to get by the door. "You got any ideas?" i ask " i got nothing really but i could just incinerate the door" "na i rather not be bared alive under a couple hundred feet of dirt" "ya you got a point.....what about you?" "what about me?" "do you have any ideas" i think for a sec. "I got nothing" "shame i was hoping to see the guy who tripped the macanacl beast be smart again but i guess it was just luck" his smile is so cocky that it makes me what to punish it off his face. We stand there in the middle of the hall just staring at the door till one of the other adventures, a kid nicknamed little runt comes up to us. "Hey mister i got to tell you something!" said little runt. "What is it little?" i ask as i crouch down to be at eye level with him "mister Ryan told me to find the man wearing a red jacket and mister red and tell them that he has an idea and needs you to go" he points to a small group to the left of the door "over there" as he finishes he gives me a smile. Red specks "thanks for telling us Lil we'll go over there right now" apparently red calles little, Lil instead. As we walk away Lil starts to follow us over.
As we get there I see Ryan holding a stick of dynamite and a torch, showing the others around him how to use it. "Everyone is here good, little here's your reward" he tosses a twenty five peace coin to little and his face grows into a gleaming smile. "Now that everyone is here, here's my plan, the idea is to blow whatever mechanism keeping the door closed off the door so we can enter. What I've seen so far is that it has two large beams going into both sides of the door, if we break the middle of the beams the door will open and we'll be able to get in. does anyone disagree" no one disagrees "no one ...good let's get started"
We had a good 25 sticks of dynamite, all of which belonged to Ryen. when he gave me a stick he acted like he was handing me a piece of gold, black, explosive, gold. The first beem was easy because it was close to the ground, the second took some engineering. We throw some rope onto some vines on the ceiling and we were going to repel someone to the second beem. But no one wanted to be the one to do it, we were going all around trying to get someone to go up until Lil raised her hand to volunteer. "You sure you want to do this little?" "absolutely, i get to be useful and blow something up at the same time why wouldn't i want to?!" i had nothing to say other then why not. We hooked her up to the rope and started to pull her up. Halfway there i should check on her,"how's it going up there?!" "good i'm just not used to heights" "good yell if the rope starts to break!" "WHAT?!!" I laugh as I continue to pull the rope. As she gets to the beem she attaches five sticks just like the other beem and throws a long fuse down to us. We slowly lowered her down and got everyone away from the door. When were ready we give the torch to Lil, who happily takes the thing and lights the fuse. After a good minute of waiting the fuse finally reaches the explosives. The following nose is so loud that at least five people fall to their knees covering the ears.
When the dust clears we make our way to the now broken door and try to opine it. It takes us a good twenty minutes to get it to move an inch. Red ends up getting angry and pulls his sword out and cuts a hole big enough to let people through. I'm the last one to go through when we hear a laugh from further in the cave that's on the other side. There's spider webs all over the cave walls.
