Thomas' POV

"It's okay." He tells me, but I don't miss the way he avoids saying he knows that I understand that he's not a threat to me.

Maybe he thinks I don't trust him. What if he think I don't love him anymore? Maybe he resents me after all.

Though this bothers me, I continue on, trying to shake the intruding thoughts that come to my mind unwelcome, knowing I don't believe in any of it. "Once I realized that I fucked up, I ran out of the alleyway to make myself back home when I ran into Ben as soon as I walked out. I saw how bad he looked but I didn't care, I was too focused on getting to you. He offered me a ride back here and I got in the car. He drugged me and I woke up at the house."

There's a beat of silence between us and I can tell he's somewhere in his own mind but I need to know something that's been on my mind since yesterday.
