Capítulo 34: Signs of past arrivals

Civilization continues and there are always high-intensity humans who like to create things. It all starts with a claim to be beneficial to the life of mankind, but in the end, every creation has two sides, the dark side, and the light.

"That crazy experiment is back," Theria said in a tone almost like a whisper.

"I think I've destroyed all the manuscripts," Melianor said. In Melianor's voice, there were various expressions of guilt, anger, sadness, and annoyance.

"There may be someone who is very diligent who can finally reach that point of science and curiosity makes that person continue to develop it regardless of the risks," Max said.

"Or, the sacred possibility comes into play here," Theria raised his face, and his gaze was serious.

Melianor paid attention to the sacred words that Theria had just spoken.

"You mean, that person is reincarnated?"

Melianor said it in a voice that was almost like crying.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything bad," Theria regrets very clearly.

"We have to consider everything," Max said, his firm stance forcing Melianor and Theria to face reality. "I saw how the dog man attacked me. Their behavior is as obvious as a dog's. Surprisingly their faces and skin are scaly, like fish. From what I've seen, they can no longer be called humans, but they can't be called animals either. As I changed my form, I could hear their sickly words, asking for help to be killed rather than having to be tormented with pain. Somehow they are made, certainly not humane things and not according to the laws of nature."

"Such a thing will never conform to the laws of nature. Never!" said Melianor, her eyes turning red.

"I'm sure I've destroyed everything. Who managed to pressman the data?" said Melianor, her attitude calmer. Her eyes changed, blue first then brown, like the eyes of humans in general. The changes that occurred to Melianor signaled that Melianor would never forgive anyone who started this problem.

Melianor's trembling voice made Max not want to withhold some of the remaining information. In silence, Max thought about who cleaned the place? The explosion should have been enough to shock the humans around that place. The reporter must have been interested in knowing the reason for the explosion, but when I returned, things were completely no different than before the fight. Empty.

How did they do it? Could it be that Won's body would be utilized?

Max imagined what he didn't want. The only possibility that made outsiders unable to hear and see the explosion, and also not hears the sound of gunfire was that they were wearing a barrier field on the battle area. The terrain was specifically created to obstruct human vision and hearing.

"Anything you haven't told me?" Melianor could feel Max still agitated, which meant he still wanted to discuss something.

"There's another part," Max heavily continued, "Won was killed in that fight."

Theria was wide-eyed and Melianor sat upright. They both know Won.

Won suddenly appeared carrying a rifle that was out of nowhere. Won tries to distract the opponent until he becomes a target. Won was killed by the leader of the three dogs, a woman, I don't know what her name is, I just saw her form, a woman with a face like a mouse. I mean, that woman was wearing a rat mask on her face. She could use a sword as a weapon. The woman was also in control of the three dogs. With just a flick of her finger, the dogs instantly knew what to do."

"Hypnotist?" Theria suddenly jumped to a conclusion. "Did she create them?"

"I don't know," said Max. "I think so. The woman created them. Usually, the creation will be in its creator. Moreover, the thing that bothered me was that the woman's martial technique was actually ordinary, but the blood flowing in her body had been developed. When I fought with her I didn't smell the human smell on the woman. The smell of animals is very thick to her."

"That means she's also had the development of genes," Melianor said. "Then why is she after you?"

Max shook his head. "I also wondered, why am I the target of him?" Max was silent.

"Besides, the other thing that bothered my mind was Elia coming to my place as directed. Elia's actions were contrary to her nature. Elia would not have gone far from her mother if she came home. Elia will stick to her. What makes BIbi and Elia separated abroad? What forces managed to separate them? Then, when Elia got the news of his mother's death, Elia should have been beside her mother's body until she cremated her properly. What happened was quite the opposite. Elia opposed death and went to my place without looking at her mother's body at all. It's as if Elia believes or she somehow knows Bibi isn't dead yet."

"There are opposites here. You said Elia was directed, but also sure Bibi wasn't dead. It's a bit of snuff," Theria said. "Do you think someone told Bibi who was in the news wasn't her mother and she was determined to find the truth, so agree on who it was to go to your place?"

Theria felt this theory was too weak. But what if that's true? If that's the case, it means that whoever had directed Elia to Max, that person was also aiming for something from Max. Why did that person have to direct Elia to Max, why didn't ask Elijah to find out the truth alone?

Max was flabbergasted. The answer seemed to be just found but in an instant, he lost it again.

"It's crazy, isn't it? Whoever that person is, there are many possibilities. For one of them, whoever had whispered to Elia was the one who realized that the strength was weaker than Bibi's. Bibi alone could lose against her enemy. Then, that person thought I could help Elia with this method. Then that person pointed Elia at me."

"That makes sense."

"Do not forget the fact of the faceless appearance in Elia's memory. That means there's something to hide," Melianor added. "Who can be in coalition with the faceless? All I know is the devil himself."

Theria and Max stare at Melianor calling Devil hateful.

"Now we know the form of our enemies. At least the big picture. But we don't know the main character yet. To stop a mass disaster, we have to stop the architect," Theria said. "As for Elia, we do not yet know for sure whether she is part of us or if she is an enemy."

Max didn't reply to Theria's words. Even though he had known Elia for a long time, Max thought what if Elia had something that forced him to get rid of her? Even if Elia made the plot of this story have a clear picture, it is impossible for Elia the main character in this story, right? What was Auntie's plan for Elia? Could Elijah have hidden powers? Max was reminded of a glimpse of the blue tattoo on Elia's body.

"Elia entered the Ruang Hampa. With that, maybe we'll find out if she's part of us or not," Theria said.

"So we can only wait until she comes out of the Ruang Hampa?"

Max doesn't believe Elia is in an obscure position. During this time he looked at Elia as his sister, never as something gray.

"What can she do, she has to make a decision for herself. If she's the enemy, we'll have to get rid of her," Melianor said coldly.

Max understood very well what Melianor's words meant.

Anyone who is in danger to balance, not least Elia, will surely be the enemy of the Gelombang guard. We're all bound by a covenant with the universe, Max mused.

There was a long silence between them. Only a breath moved between them. After so long no turmoil suppressed the mind, today, the turmoil appeared. It was as if all along, the turmoil was gathering its army and also gathering reasons to terrorize the three worlds. When enough was enough, the turmoil struck.

Theria broke the silence by saying, "You may be able to return to the Pegunungan Sakral first rather than wait, meet Gorakshana, and ask him what he knows." Theria's gaze was fixed on Max. "You might as well be needed there."

The shadow of Gorakshana's state poked out in Max's mind. It made him gulp. There was a pain in his chest.

"I'll leave after meeting JoydaG," Max replied. His mind was restless. I still don't know exactly which one to put first.

"When did she arrive?" asked Max to Melianor.

"Maybe another hour. They should have entered the city now," Melianor said. Melianor replied weakly, her voice barely audible. It seemed like she had just lost a few percent of her energy because the information that was too heavy was received. Even so, the atmospheric pressure between them had already decreased. The change in atmosphere from heavy to lighter at least gives space and time to breathe easier.

"She didn't come alone?"

"No, she came with two other people."

Theria had an idea to lower blood pressure.

"I'll make tea," Theria said as she stood up. "I'll make it for everyone. And I'll bring you chocolate as a snack. Maybe you guys are preparing to welcome them to the Sunshine Shop, I'll catch up."

Cheerfully, without waiting for a response from Max and Melianor, Theria walked out thinking about what tea and chocolate were roughly suitable to lower the tension of her colleagues. "They may also be hungry. In that case, I must prepare meat for them," Theria muttered as he walked out of the Melianor Work Hall.
