Inside a pristine room cluttered with random metallic bolts, nails, screwdrivers, and random stuff was strewn about, a singular person sits in the middle on the soft carpeted ground while building a strange device in front of him.
The person then went on to tinker with the strange cubic device, banging some random metal to random spots while metallic nails somehow floats around him as if he was an esper, but in a different fabric of reality, a muscular humanoid man with a yellow body was actually holding up those nails with its burly hands.
"Whew!" Rintarou lets out a sigh of relief. Holding up the cube in front of him, it went on to explode into a different shape altogether into a strange glove that envelops his right hand in a tight squeeze.
"Finally, this thing is done. Now, let's test it out for a change," Rintarou mutters while rubbing his mentally tired eyes. With a snap, energy sparks from the black glove in his right hand along with the bolts, nails, and metallic objects around him float into the air as if he was an esper.
"Groan, it worked. That's ferrokinesis now in the glove, I'll add other elements later, but metal was the easiest, I'll add electricity later," Rintarou said. As he raises his right hand up towards his face, he watches the glove somehow dissolve into his hand like a strange black liquid.
With a stomp to the ground, the bolts, nails, etc. that fell back to the ground shot up into the air and went into a certain container that was labeled "Metallic Stuff", and soon, the whole room was fully cleaned leaving it a bit barren under the bright light of the setting sun through the glass windows.
"Sigh, now what?" Rintarou asked nobody in particular but himself. He was getting bored throughout the whole day, at the pace he was going, he could just stay coop up in his room and reach Satan Class in a few months if he so desires, but he didn't do this for just that! He did this for the feeling of adventure, thrill, and excitement!
With a blur, he appears high above the tallest mall in the plaza, looking around the town with the sun's setting glow covering it in a melancholic glow.
[You know, you could just enroll into Kuoh Academy and go from that, just like what we always do in random universes.] Ddraig chimes in, giving his little bit of advice.
"Hmm… why not. So what class and year do you think I should join in?" Rintarou asked, clearly showing that they have been doing this more than 1 time by the least.
[Why not 3-A? That's where Souna is in right?] Ddraig inquires.
"Fuck it, we'll go with 3-A. Welp, I'll do the "transfer student" project right now, see you in a bit," Rintarou mutters while standing up near the edge of the rooftop, feeling the windy breeze almost pushing him off the ledge but he simply doesn't care.
[See you tomorrow.] Ddraig responds, and with a flicker, Rintarou went on to do his business.
(The Next Day)
Inside a classroom filled with many seats, though some were vacant, Souna was looking around the room with strict eyes, trying to keep everything in check.
'Sigh, who even is that random transfer student that appeared out of nowhere? It was a bit tiring but everything should be fine right now, I've already seen that he is up to date with the current curriculum and his grades should be fine,' Sona thought, annoyed at the sudden notice yesterday and it even seems like the new transfer student is important with the school board's insisting for him to join.
'Though, who even is he? I can't even dig up any of his past at all except for some random tidbits like him being a prodigy,' Sona sighs, rubbing her temples to ease the annoyance.
(A Few Minutes Later)
As the school bell rings, the door was opened promptly in response as everyone instantly shuts up to greet their homeroom teacher.
"Good morning, ma'am!" shouts the whole class including Sona as their homeroom teachers nod in response.
"Okay class, this may be sudden, but we are going to have a new face join our class for the rest of the school year! Hououin-san, please enter the room and introduce yourself!" beckons their homeroom teacher to the opened door and soon, they heard the sound of footsteps as their new classmate was finally shown to the whole class.
Wearing the usual Kuoh Academy school uniform consisting of a black blazer on top of a white shirt, along with a pair of black pants, their new classmate enters the room with a confident smile showing his pearly white teeth, long black hair that covers most of his face along with a pair of glasses covering his jewel-like brown eyes.
"Hello everyone! My name is Hououin Kyouma, though my appearance might be sudden, I still hope we get to be good friends and I wish for everyone's warm welcome for me!" Kyouma said with an amicable smile as every girl in the class except Sona blushed while the boys even slightly blushed, showing how charismatic their new classmate was.
"Hououin-san was forced to transfer to this academy due to his father's job and I hope that everyone could bring him a warm welcome!" their homeroom teachers announced.
"Yes ma'am!" shouts the whole class except for a certain individual in the back who looks at Kyouma with wide, shocked eyes full of disbelief.
"Well Hououin-san, you can pick any of the vacant seats available. We were planning on throwing them out already but luckily for you, you just appeared at the right time!" their homeroom teacher said, with Kyouma nodding in appreciation while taking a quick glance around the room.
"I would want to seat over there please," Kyouma said, pointing at the faraway chair in the distance set in the back of the class.
"Are you sure Hououin-san?" asked their homeroom teacher.
"Yes sensei," Kyouma responded with an amicable smile.
"If you wish so, you may take that seat," their homeroom teacher responded. Hououin nodded in response, showing his appreciation to their homeroom teacher.
As he picks up his bag from the ground, he went towards his new seat in the far distance from the class but as he does so, he feels a strange gaze looking at him intensely.
In response to that stare, he directly turns his head towards the stare to make eye contact with a certain individual with ragged black hair and brown eyes that invokes a sense of familiarity for Kyouma that he can't pinpoint why.
The guy clearly didn't expect the sudden eye contact so he quickly turns his gaze away from Kyouma, looking in a different direction with a flustered face.
'Huh, another weird guy,' Rintarou thought, shrugging his shoulders in response, and went to sit in his new chair in peace.
(A Few Hours Later)
'Huh, that was… more peaceful than I thought. I clearly expected envious guys opposing me out of nowhere but everyone seems to be nice!' Rintarou thought, surprised at his current situation.
[It's not like we live in an anime, of course, a prestigious school such as this won't have that many bad apples, in fact, I think all of the parasites went to the perverted trio.] Ddraig responds.
'Maybe you're right, my chase for adventure really did warp my worldview huh,' Rintarou laments at the lack of current excitement, but he doesn't need to worry for it's only his first day at Kuoh Academy in this new universe.
With a glance around the barren room due to it being now lunch, he stands up with a yawn to have his lunch in a new area he recently found where it was peaceful and quiet so nobody will disturb him during lunch.
Picking up his bento box inside his bag, he heads out of the room and down the long flight of stairs and out of the building and to a certain place just near the walls where students don't frequently go visit, and luckily, there is even a large stone he can sit on as a makeshift chair.
But as he nears the place surrounded by trees and draped in shadows, he notices a group of students suspiciously following him and it seems like there were more bad apples than he previously thought.
With a mental sigh to prepare for the oncoming trouble, he devises a new idea in his mind that would allow him to defeat all of the group with just a single move.
"Hey, you!" shouts a deep voice as he turns around to see a muscular bald student looking pointing at him with menacing eyes.
"What?" Rintarou responded, annoyed at how he will have to deal with this during his precious lunchtime.
"You don't mind giving us a few thousand yen right?" said one more guy with a scrawny build similar to a goblin, a clearly malicious bully.
"Yeah new kid, you want to make new friends right?" said one more guy as they all chuckled with a nefarious smile.
"Hmm? No," Rintarou responds back, liting his right arm to the air into a snapping position as the 3 became enraged and near him while cracking their knuckles as a sign of intimidation.
But with a snap… the 3 collapse to the ground unconscious all of a sudden with trembling hands and legs as if they experienced something horrifying.
"Sigh, cliché anime bullies, this is really absurd!" Rintarou chuckles, leaving the 3 alone and towards his predetermined seat where he shall eat his delicious lunch, not noticing the student a few tens of meters away looking at the spectacle with shocked eyes, clearly disbelieving how the 3 just collapse to the ground with Rintarou doing nothing.
[How did you even do that?] Ddraig inquired.
'It's just a simple trick of psychology and hypnosis, kinda like runic formula magic but less magical and more prone to failure,' Rintarou responds, dumbing down what he did to something Ddraig could understand.
(A Few Hours Later)
As the final bell rang, the teacher quietly packs up her stuff and lets the students finally go home.
"Thank you ma'am!" shouts the whole class, the teacher simply nodding in response and getting out of the room.
With that, the whole class pack up their stuff, and slowly, one by one, they got out of the room to head back to their homes with only Kyouma and Souna left in the room.
"Hmm? Shitori-san? Are you not going home?" Kyouma inquired out of nowhere while packing up his bag.
"Thank you for caring about me Hououin-san, but I still have my duties as the Student Council President," Souna responded.
"Oh, how hard is it to be handed such a position? I can't imagine how stressful that would be," Kyouma said, easing into Souna's trust.
"You don't have to worry about me Hououin-san, I'm more than prepared to take this mantle when I was given this position," Souna said.
"Huh, well I'm off then!" Kyouma said, picking up his bag and leaving the room where Souna was left alone.
[So, you planning to swoon Souna?] Ddraig asked.
"Not really, I'm just being nice," Rintarou responds while walking down the street where his house is located.
[But it's pretty strange right? To think you would get bullied on your first day.]
"I know, it was pretty strange, but we're in a world where angels, devils, dragons, and even God exists so who knows, this might be pretty normal," Rintarou shrugs his shoulders, not at all fazed by the recent bullying attempt at him.
[You're right, maybe you'll even get mugged all of a sudden!] Ddraig chuckles.
"Maybe, though it would be pretty exciting to commit my first murder in this universe and not in a parallel one," Rintarou mutters while walking down the walkway surrounded by the loud nightlife when suddenly, he felt a hand pushing him out of nowhere into a dark alley.
