As I walk home absentmindedly, I drag my hands along the wall beside the walkway I was on top of while a rhythmic pattern was produced from each step that I took on the ground.
While doing that, I subconsciously started to grab some random stuff on the ground like cans, plastic bottles, copper wires, and more and I don't even know why I was doing this, but it feels like I can do something with them.
With the horde of items hastily piling up, I took out a plastic bag from my bag so I can put all the items inside it and most of them were recyclable so maybe I'm just helping out nature.
After a while, the bag was already full of random clean junk by the time I arrived home, all of the junk was clean because I was picky on what stuff to pick up on the streets.
"I'm home!" I shouted while taking off my shoes to enter the house.
But weirdly enough, no one responded back to my call so my parents were probably late from work again so more alone time for me.
"At least I don't have to explain why I have this bag of random junk," while shrugging my shoulders and going towards my room to plop down the bag of clean junk.
After a few minutes, I finally put on some casual clothes because my school uniform was coated in sweat, walking home is a task you know, and with how hot it was today, I was showering in my own body fluids.
"Now, what can I do with this junk?" while I went to go towards the place where my father's tools were stored like his screwdriver and stuff.
With quick steps to go back upstairs, I opened the toolbox while shuffling through the plastic bag of junk to try and salvage some parts for the experiment that suddenly came to mind.
"Hmm, let's try to create something simple, a simple device that would give a random answer of either yes or no and will shine green if yes and red if no, simple enough," I muttered while reaching for the screwdriver to disassemble a toy car I found which just dumbfounded me because I think… "Hey, this car could be fixed!"
After seeing the state of the car, I hurriedly went to open the inside to see that the wires and board were still intact so I could definitely fix it with just a simple nudging around, I don't even need to reattach any wires, just move them around and.
"Done." with me just moving things around, the toy car was fixed.
"But I don't have the controller so it's still useless, but at least the lights are yellow and red, so yes is yellow while red is no," I muttered while taking out the light from the car and grabbing a plastic bottle because that would the case for the device.
(A Few Hours Later)
"Tell me o magic bottle of green tea, is God real?" I said with anticipation clearly showing in my eyes because it took me around 2 hours to make this stupid device.
First, I needed a voice receiver, then I needed to code it which further surprised me because I somehow learned the basics of coding in an hour, then the next hour was used to assemble the device and now, I asked my first question.
And as if Lady Luck has descended upon the realm of fate and destiny, the stupid device shone in yellow as my body deflated like a balloon due to the relief I felt.
"It fucking worked… is God alive?" I suddenly asked out of curiosity because who knows, I don't know so why would anyone know?
And it shone in a red light which made me chuckle because if a being like God does exist, the one from the bible, well an omnipotent being shouldn't die right?
Well, omnipotence is a pretty stupid concept full of paradoxes so I don't really think there is a true omnipotent being out there in the vast wide… multiverse.
"The formula!" I shouted as I quickly grab a pen to write down the formula on a piece of paper and just like that, I went back into a trance with insights flooding my mind but the formula was still covered in mysteries I can't hope to understand at the state I was in right now… "But my mind, my mind is going through some changes already."
Just this morning I understand how a car generally works, now I think I can make my own car if I had enough resources, and not only that, I could make every single part of that car if I want to.
"You know what, I'll do it, I'll make a toy car with a controller," I said while glancing at the toy car beside me and now onto a quick montage of me making a stupid useless toy car.
But I was soon interrupted by the sound of a car a few minutes into making the controller because my efficiency already skyrocketed from the first previous experiment which boosted my skills that is rising at a rapid pace.
"Oh, they're finally back," I muttered while looking at my phone to see that it was already 6:30 pm, sigh, I knew club activities were pointless, look at Ren, coming home this late while I am making dumb inventions in my room.
I then ignored them to continue my exploration with this new "hobby" of mine which I find pretty fun now that I'm a "genius" if you can even call me that because this might just be a temporary super intelligence… fuck!
"This might be temporary!" I shouted with wide eyes while hurriedly going to my computer and hurriedly went to a website I found an hour earlier and tried to find people who were like me, suddenly becoming super smart all of a sudden.
After a quick read, I found surprisingly a handful amount of examples with most of them either banging their head to become smart at something like math or just waking up like that.
But most of them are super smart in a single subject like math or arts, but me?
"I'm a fucking prodigy!" I shouted while looking at the screen in front of me as I just solved a super hard question only a few thousand people can solve on their own.
"So this might just be a super lucky coincidence for me, though from my research, this is now a permanent change… but why am I still getting smarter?" I muttered as the inner workings of the monitor in front of me presented themselves to me like a naked lady and I feel like I could even make it 4k if I want to.
But I was soon taken out of my thoughts when I heard the sound of the doorknob being turned along with a certain familiar voice coming from the door, "Onii-chan! I'm home!"
A set of arms soon embraced my body as a cute bubbly face presented itself to me from the side.
"Hello, Ren," I said with a grin while Ren took away his arms when he saw the bottle of green tea beside me that allowed me to see his whole body.
My brother Ren is, let's say, a bit feminine in appearance.
He has black long hair that reaches his neck (though I did indoctrinate him to the no shampoo cult so his hair is S tier for me), a small petite frame, fair white skin, and dainty arms that make him appear to be like a precious little porcelain doll which is a weird analogy, to be honest, but my thoughts are currently weirder throughout the whole day.
"What's this?" asked Ren while grabbing the bottle and he felt how hefty it is.
"It's a thing I made, a new hobby of mine if you will," I said while putting down the controller on the table to show him how the device works.
"Just ask it a yes or no question and it will respond with one of two lights, yellow for yes and red for no." I said while demonstrating it with a simple question of "Am I a guy?" to which it responded by shining red.
"Oh, so you made it by connecting a voice recorder and inputted some simple code to allow it to know what questions to answer and not just randomly shine every time someone speaks?" asked Ren which made the bottle shine yellow coincidentally enough.
"Yep, but the most impressive part is I made it with the pile of junk over here," I said while pointing at the plastic bag beside me.
"But… how did you learn to build this?" asked Ren with a raised eyebrow.
"You can say… your nii-chan has found the secret of our bloodline!" I said with a nefarious grin while his eyes widen.
"D- do we have a super-duper secret that will bring the end to this world?" said Ren with a hushed voice.
"Yes, our bloodline holds the ability to make anyone a prodigy like me and you!" I said while Ren recoils back to my bed with a shocked face, oh how I love him, he always plays along with my antics.
"Wait… what did you say?" suddenly said Ren once he finally processed what I said.
"Yes, I'm now a prodigy like you, just look at this question over here," I said while pointing at the one and only monitor I have because we're not rich okay, we're just an average family who somehow produced a genius like Ren.
"Wait, isn't that the question I had to solve a few years back? I had a hard time solving that back then" said Ren as he saw the question laid out on the monitor.
"Yeah, I managed to solve it all on my own, it's actually a bit simple, you can already solve this with just high school level math and algebra," I said while explaining how I solved it.
"But… nii-chan, that's not high school level, in fact, the theorems you used are intended for university-level students. I didn't know you did some advanced reading to university level books already, did you pirate some online?!" said Ren as I suddenly came to a halt… university level… holy fuck how do I know those theorems, solutions, theories, and other shit?!
Now that I think about it, how did I know what each symbol and letter meant?!
"Y- yeah, I did some advance reading, but your brother is a genius now like you!" I said with a forced smile and took back the leads again so I can ponder about this later, something is definitely happening to me and this ain't just peak human-level intellect talent bullcrap, I'm perhaps Archimedes Leonardo Da Vinci level of talent.
"T- then will you join Tokyo High with me a few months later?!" Ren said with a shine in his eyes.
"We'll talk about this later, let's just explain what happened to mom and dad okay?" I said as he nods in response and quickly rush towards his room to change clothes while I plop down on my chair with cold sweat dripping on my back.
T- Tokyo HIGH?!
That's literally one of the best high schools there is in Japan!
And I don't want to go away from this place!
I've been living here my whole life!
I don't want to go to Tokyo, just imagine how expensive the stuff there will be!
Holy shit!
Ren will be gone in my life in just a fucking year if he enrolls at Tokyo High!
Holy shit, holy shit.
Calm down Rintarou, that won't happen yet, you still have months to contemplate about life and the financial situation of your family, with a quick slap to my face to calm myself down, I decided to ignore the problem and only face it when I need to cross that bridge.
