The cluttering sound of the filthy metallic plate that contained her food crushing against the nearby wall, drew Ronda's attention towards the bars of the cell. It was demeaning how far she had fallen, she had gone from practically being the princess of this wretched palace, to nothing but a mere prisoner.

"Your dinner you lowly scum!" 

The prison warden spit in her direction and left, leaving Ronda with a sinking feeling in her stomach. Even suicide was not an option for her, on account that her little cell had been stripped of anything that could cause her harm, even her hair had been shaved right off her head, lest she tried to wrap it around her neck and end her miserable existence.
