CHAPTER 23
Since I was just a little taller than the goblin we were able to fight properly.
The goblin had enough with my parrying and released a powerful strike aiming for my left shoulder.
I immediately twisted my body to the left parrying an attack to my left shoulder which caused the club to hit the ground instead and then used the momentum I gained to make a strong cleave, while the goblin was open, with a messed-up smile.
Cleave is a sword mastery skill that can be used by someone who has reached Second-degree mastery in Sword arts, as for what it does its name says it all.
But the battle instincts that the goblin developed through countless battles he faced kicked in.
With pure instincts, the goblin immediately abandoned his weapon and run past me, and then tried to attack me from my blind spot.
But before he could land his strike I decasted my sword skill and jumped forward then twisted my body midair to the direction of the goblin and watched as the goblin picked up his wooden club
"Nice try~ but that won't work on me!" I said and dashed towards the goblin holding my sword with two hands while smiling like a maniac.
I then engage in a wild battle clashing our weapons together.
At that moment the only sound that I could hear was our weapons clashing together, but not before long, my sword was sent flying a few meters away and the goblin raised his club, blocking the sunlight from my face as he unleashed his final move with a wicked smile.
But my lips were curved up. As the goblin swung his club down trying to turn my head into meat paste.
I chuckled. "You fell for it~" I said with a sinister smile.
And even before the goblin could comprehend what I said, two daggers severed his neck killing him in an instant, Using a third-degree dagger skill called Critical strike, a mastery skill that strikes the opponent's vital spot dealing critical damage.
"Enemies tend to let down their guards the most when they're assured of their victory, and are unleashing their final move." I said as I sheathed my daggers and the goblin's neck spurted green blood before falling to the ground with a *Tud* sound.
"Thanks, it was a lot of fun," I said respectfully with a smile before sighing.
"Guess I can't fight two goblins at once huh?, what a shame I was hoping for a 1 v 2 fight. Guess it can't be helped, but man... Hehe... cutting through flesh really is the best~" I said with a messed-up smile.
Suddenly a purple screen appeared before.

"Oh sweet! I've finally leveled up! guess the goblin gave me enough Exp. to make me level up, huh? well, that's given he was strong after all." I said then pondered for a while.
"...Alright. your the one that I'll choose to test my [Devourer] skill." I said and put the goblin's body in my storage ring.
"Now, let's fight some more~"
