Capítulo 144: Acknowledgement

Lukas and everyone else who had participated in the meeting were now leaving the room where it had occurred.

Leopold, the current King of France, was showing a pretty satisfied expression right now. Despite not jumping to conclusions was a very necessary quality that most governors had to have, he couldn't help but be optimistic regarding the outcome of their strategy.

Finally, everyone arrived at a more informal room, where they could rest for a bit, and also have a relaxed chat. 

Leopold then looked at Lukas with a smile. "Lukas, our meeting is already over. Would you not like to go interact with other boys your age? Like Napoleon and Niklas?" he asked.

Lukas immediately shook his head as he smiled. "No, thank you, I would like to accompany you until you depart, so I can show Your Majesty my gratitude for treating me in such a cordial way during our meeting," he said, obviously trying to flatter Leopold.
