Capítulo 145: Red Silk (R18)
Traditionally, the wine used for the hejin custom was home-brewed and sweet, to represent a tender union, and not as heady as some of the famous wines that were popular amongst the connoisseurs in the capital. Still, as some of it spilt from the sloppy press of their opened-mouth kiss to trickle down Yan Zheyun's throat and pool in the dip of his collarbones, he felt intoxicated.
In the dim glow of the candlelight, Liu Yao's eyes were impossibly dark, more mysterious and alluring than Yan Zheyun had ever seen him before, and he couldn't hold back a gasp as Liu Yao leaned down and drank from his makeshift vessel, causing warmth to spread over the sensitive skin of Yan Zheyun's neck as he licked a slow, leisurely trail downwards.
Red flowers bloomed in his wake, unfurling their blushing petals in the white snow. When had he been divested of his robes? When had Liu Yao pushed him gently down into the sea of red silk?

Queeniecat (1) Jade ceremonial sceptre: This is a very poor translation but I couldn’t find a proper translation. The original would be a Jade Ruyi, which is an S-shaped ornamental object that is a symbol of good luck. This most common form of the Jade Ruyi is from the late Ming and Qing dynasty, by which point it only had ornamental purpose. However, there have been records of it since the Warring States era, although most of the shape and usage of it has been lost in history. Some say it was used as a back scratcher. Others say that there were religious uses for it. And of course, there is the speculation that they were used as sex toys. (((:

I've been scheduled for three 80h shifts to cover for COVID-positive and maternity leave coworkers. I have finished two and am on my last one!
I initially intended to finish this R18 scene in one go but it is really taking longer than I expected and I didn't want to leave everyone hanging for another week. Please bear with me, the next chapter should be up by this weekend and subsequently my schedule is much lighter as I have leave coming up soon and hopefully updates will be a lot less erratic then.
