(Roberts: POV)
As the Black Pearl cut through the ocean blue I steered it.
Humming a tune to myself, as I spotted the next island in our Grand Line journey in the distance.
Which has been going on for a month now by the way.
We made landfall without issue and then began exploring the island.
In doing so we learned the place we have stopped at is known as Booze Island. An island famous for having a large assortment of liquor and other alcoholic beverages.
Leaning this my crew and I went to town.
Drinking and buying some of the various liquors and alcoholic beverages from across the island.
We also sampled an assortment of local cuisine, all of which was prepared using liquor in some form.
Before any of us knew it in just a few hours we were all quite drunk.
Despite this we continued enjoying ourselves until night fell and we eventually decided to return to the Black Pearl when it did. Smiles on our faces.
All except for Law.
For the entire day I've noticed him with a sad and almost angry expression on his face. He hasn't said a word in regard to what's bothering him but I can tell it's something serious.
So as both his friend and his captain I can't let this continue.
Moving over to Law I forced him to look at me. "Law, what's the matter?" I asked him.
"I'm not sure what you mean captain." Law replied.
"Don't bullshit me." I instantly retorted. "You've been down in the dumps all day long. What's the matter? I told you the first time we met if you have any issues I'll be there to help you out as will the rest of the crew. You can talk to us."
Law stared at me for several seconds without saying a word. He then pulled down his cap and slowly nodded. "There is something I need to tell you." He said. "And not just you but the entire crew as well."
I nodded at Law's words.
I then assembled the others.
After I did so we all gave our full attention to Law.
Once we did so he showed us this morning's paper. In particular the front page, which showcased quite the headline and article
'Dressrosa Gains New King and Shichibukai Gain New Member'
The article explained how Doflamingo "saved" Dressrosa after its now former King Riku Doldo III went on a rampage and started massacring his nations citizens after forcing them to give him any and all money they had. Once he stopped Riku's rampage the citizens of Dressrosa became so grateful to Doflamingo they decided to name him as their new king.
Which is a giant steaming pile of shit.
Though of course given how I know such information I kept my mouth shut.
Instead I just read the article in the newspaper along with the others, putting a fake curious expression on my face after I finished reading it.
Once Law was sure we had all read the article he took the newspaper away.
"Ok I'm confused. I don't understand what this Doflamingo guy has to do with us." Weisz spoke.
"It has to do with us because I want to kill him." Law spoke. No hesitation in his voice in the slightest.
"Why?" Reiju asked.
"He took something precious away from me." Law spoke. Pain entering his voice as he did so.
Law then started telling us the story of his past in full detail.
From the destruction of his homeland Flevance by the World Government, to his time as a member of the Donquixote family, to his relationship with Corazon aka "Rosiante", to Corazon's death at the hand of Doflamingo and his family.
Law told all of us this without holding anything back. He even started crying a bit as he did so.
As this happened I began feeling a burning rage towards Doflamingo, and found myself on the verge of tears as Law recounted his life story. Because it's one thing to read about someone's story on pages or watch their story on a screen, but it's an entirely different matter when you hear it directly from the person themselves.
Law is my friend and crewmate. So for him to have gone through so much hardship makes me feel for him from the bottom of my heart.
As Law ended his story he wiped away his tears using the sleeve of his shirt.
Meanwhile the rest of us just stared at him, various expression on our faces.
Law and Rean were utterly shocked.
Alfia has an undreadable expression on her face.
Bepo isn't shocked in the slightest. Which mean Law must've told him all this when they first met.
I am doing my best to keep my expression neutral.
As for Reiju and Robin, they both have clear sympathetic expressions on their faces aimed at Law. But given their pasts that's understandable. Robin in particular is looking at Law like he's a kindred spirit.
'I mean they're backgrounds are basically identical after all.' I thought. Except for only a few differences in their stories.
The key difference being Law had someone to watch over him, while Robin had no one.
But now that's not the case.
They have a crew. No they've got a family. One that will walk trough hell for them both.
"So, now you know." Law spoke. "I hate Doflamingo, and I want him dead. So I'm asking, will you help me with that?"
"Don't ask stupid questions. Of course we will." Alfia proclaimed. "How many times does Roberts have to say it before you all understand we'll walk through hell and even create a hell on earth for any member of this crew. So if you want Doflamingo dead, we'll help you achieve your goal. Right?"
"I couldn't have said it any better myself." I spoke.
"Yeah. We'll help you Law." Bepo spoke.
"Sure. We've got your back." Weisz said.
"Yes." Rean agreed.
"We're crewmates." Reiju simply spoke.
As for Robin she didn't say a word but simply nodded her head in agreement.
Seeing this Law showed a rare smile.
"Thank you. Thank you all." Law spoke.
Once he did so we quickly re-created the festive mood we had been in before his confession.
Partying well into the night.

(3rd Person: POV)
As the full moon hung high in the night sky Nico Robin looked up at it.
Seated in a chair next to a table on the deck of the Black Pearl.
Utterly and extremely drunk.
Just like the rest of her crewmates.
All of whom had passed out some time ago with smiles on their faces.
The reason Robin wasn't passed out like her crewmates is due to the fact her tolerance for alcohol is extremely high.
Since she started drinking at a very young age.
The age of just ten years old.
She drank to numb herself. Both her emotions and and reactions to the world around her. A world that hated her for a crime she didn't even commit. A world that Robin never thought she would find a place to belong, a place where she would be accepted.
Yet her mindset in that regard had slowly began changing since she met the Thanatos Pirates.
And tonight after hearing Law's life story and seeing the rest of the crew still accept him Robin began to have hope in heart that being with the Thanatos Pirates was where she belonged.
As she continued to gaze at the moon Robin suddenly recalled the words of her old and very first friend the giant Jaguar D. Saul.
"Robin, you're friends are out there at sea. Just waiting for you. Someday you'll find them and meet them. I know it."
'Oh Saul. I think I might've finally found the people you were talking about.' Robin thought.
A small smile then formed on her face.
As this happened Robin suddenly heard footsteps.
Turning her head in the direction they were coming from she saw Roberts.
"Yo." He said.
Roberts then sat in the other chair next to Robin's at the small table.
Like her he wasn't passed out drunk like the others. As to why Roberts decided to be the adult tonight and hold back on the partying and drinking a bit. All so he could make sure the others were taken care of when he saw just how drunk they were getting.
Even if he does enjoy a good party as much as the next guy Roberts is still the captain, and that means more often than not he will put the well-being of his crew above all.
Like tonight.
"So, what are doing sitting out here all alone?" Roberts asked.
"Oh, just staring up the moon. It's beautiful isn't it?" Robin spoke.
Roberts then turned his gaze to the moon for a moment before returning it to Robin. "Yeah, the moon tonight is truly beautiful. But not as beautiful as you Robin." He spoke.
"Fufufu, my captain if I didn't know any better I'd say you were hitting on me." Robin said.
"That's because I am." Roberts instantly replied.
The moment he did so Robin stared at him intently to see if he was joking, and saw that Roberts was deadly serious.
"My captain, what would Alfia say if she knew you were hitting on another woman?" Robin questioned.
"She's fine with it." Roberts replied. "A while ago we had a talk and long story short she gave me permission to pursue relationships with a couple of woman I start developing feelings for. You being one of them." He explained. "To put it simply I like you as a woman Nico Robin."
Hearing Roberts confession under the full moon Robin was left utterly speechless.
