Capítulo 43: Working Together

Naii’ finished bandaging Callie’s finger and patted her knee. “The honey I put on it will speed the healing. In a few hours, you won’t remember it.”

Callie’s mouth pulled at the edge. “Sure.” And then she laughed.

Naii’ gave her a curious look and then picked up her basket of bandages and left the room, leaving Callie and Pachama alone. The rest and gone about to help Muuk analyze the blood. Callie sat in the seat next to Pachama and took the offered drink a vine presented. It was cool to her lips as she drank in the sweet nectar. She drank deeply and sighed when the glass was empty. Ever since her time in the Mixer, she seemed to crave nourishment.

“What do you expect to find?” she asked Pachama.

“The answers. I just have no idea what that answer will be. He wants you. The question is why?”
