Capítulo 34: A Kiss

With very slow and deliberate steps, I moved to the first stall and breathed in the delectable aroma. I felt myself become dizzy from this year’s intoxication while at the same time feeling an exhilaration that was almost foreign to me. While longing to let my gaze linger on the beautiful colors, I moved onto the next stall. It became almost an obsession to see what the next vendor was displaying. The flowers could have been a drug and I gladly would’ve inhaled and forgotten the rest of the world. The life I knew before could easily disappear and I would be perfectly content to sit and be lost in a sea of smell and sight.

Time was lost on me. I had no idea how long I’d been acting as a small child in a Wonderland when I heard his voice behind me. “Leigh.” The soft sultry tones invaded my wanderings and pulled me around to him. Instead of seeing him as I had expected to, I found myself staring at a delicate pale pink calla lily. I smiled as I took the offered flower from him.
