The next day was busy as well. We focused more on history this time. Funny how you have an image in your mind when the reality can be quite different. I’ve seen pictures of the Continental Congress in action both in print and in movies. I swear they misled us all. How did all those men fit in that little room and not kill each other? Independence Hall was so small. It was nothing like my mind had imagined. It was a miracle that those men came to a decision they could agree on in that hot room. I would have killed someone with no air and tempers flying.
Though we were busy all day, we took everything at a leisurely pace. By mid-afternoon, we were done and heading back to the hotel. We grabbed a glass of wine in the bar downstairs and sat out on the back patio near the water fountain.
“Well, the serious part starts.”
I raised my eyebrow at the statement. Swallowing the wine I had just sipped. I asked, “Do I dare ask?”
