One after another, spells started launching all over the place, both from the monster's side as well as our side. While I used my scythe to crop out most of the monsters, Kaneto used his sword to kill one monster at a time at a rapid speed. 

Looking at him carefully, he is trying to use mana to kill the monsters rather than the sword physically touching them. Doing it one at a time, he is trying to hone his swordsmanship to another level. Perhaps what took place in the forest hit him hard.

Lucy was using both her staff and fist to kill the monsters. Like a raging monster, she was killing each and every monster in her way as she darted from one point to another. Her eyes are more blood red than they usually are, looks like she too is trying to surpass herself in this battle.
