"Hehe...maybe it's time I excused myself." Sensing the ambiguous atmosphere, Bai Lan knowingly chuckled.

"Princess, I'll go and take care of some stuff at the shop. If I encounter any difficulties with the tasks you assigned, I'll immediately contact you. Then..." She pushed out of her seat and gave the two a slight bow, before hurriedly running off.
Princess Qamari was reluctant to let her go. She wanted the other to stay until she got settled in a separate courtyard of the Eastern Palace. But Bai Lan was afraid she would ruin the budding atmosphere between the couple if she lingered a while longer.
So, without a backward glance, she dashed out of the back courtyard and left the Eastern Palace in less than 30 breaths of time.
Finally alone with his wife, Crown Prince Lail wrapped his arms around his wife's shoulders and sighed.
"Qamari, I didn't know..." You also missed me.
