Crown Prince Lail finally lifted his head and looked at the woman in front of him.

Dressed in the familiar purple-red with the veil covering the rest of her face except for her eyes, he found her presence didn't stir even a tinge of the emotions inside him. He felt nothing as if he was looking at an inanimate object. 

'How could I have been so blind? This woman can't possibly be my wife!'

For him to feel nothing for his wife after feeling so much from just looking at a portrait was unexplainable. He felt relieved at the realization that she might not be his wife. And worried about his wife's whereabouts.

His gaze hardened as he looked at this stranger. For her to impersonate his wife only meant she knew where Princess Qamari was.

"In the Amayan Empire, remarriages don't happen. You can leave if that's all you wanted to say." Hard and cold, his frosty voice and chilly eyes made Aarya Quime inadvertently shiver.
