Capítulo 24: Hydras end draws near
I was currently taking a sip of the coffe I brew, and I have to say, it tastes quite bad "Seriously how can someone make bad coffe" I complained to myself.
"I better go do some tea, atleast I'm better at that, than coffe" I told myself, making my way to the kitchen.
I was currently in my rented house, it was a little apartment in New York, small enough to stay out of Hydras radar.
Thinking that, I walked past Buckys unconscious body, which was laying on the couch.
"Now, to wait for the water" I said, turning on the kettle, before walking towards the living room, the device from earlier, in hand.
"How does this thing work" I said to myself, looking at the device. There were three buttons, which had words ontop of each button, consisting of, [Memory wipe], [Winter soilder], and [Free will].
Looking at those words, I didn't trust myself, so I decided to ask the system, if it might be able to know what each button were for.
[From what the system has gathered, from the eyes of the host, the system has concluded that, the Memory wipe button, does as said, wipes the memories of the person, the device is connected to]
The system explained, making me nod in understanding "I guess they might have used this, to wipe his memories about top secret stuff?" I thought.
[The Winter soilder button, makes it so that, the person in which the device is connected to, looses all sense of emotions, and need of rest, it essentially makes the person, nothing more than a puppet to be controlled]
'I guess that must be the mode he was in, when we fought' I internally thought, looking at the poor guy with pity, quite unusual of me. Hydra must really be taken down.
[And the Free will button, makes it so that, the person the device is connected to, is able to regain full control of his or her emotions, reasoning, and overall, his or herself.]
The system finished explaining, but I had one more question "What would happen, if I destroyed the device" I asked.
[The person explodes]
The system answered simply.
'I guess I might have to wait. Until the whole Hydra stuff is settled, I will have to use this device' even though this whole controlling someone stuff, is rubbing me a certain way, I have no choice.
The personnel that SHIELD has, might be able to remove this brainwash thing, but I'm not very welcomed in SHIELD right now.
Looking at Bucky, I quickly pressed the [Free Will] button. A subtle grunt, escapes Buckys mouth, as he jerks up to consciousness.
"Where am I?, I thought I was..." his panic attack was interuppted, by a fake cough from myself.
"The name is Leo, and I'm the one that saved you from those Hydra guys" I revealed, making the guy clutch his head in pain.
"Hydra... Hydra..." he muttered, his body limping and falling to the ground "I killed so many... they made me kill so many innocent people" he cursed, his eyes showing nothing but revenge.
"I might not feel your pain, but I know Hydra must be taken down" I said, making the winter soider, look at me with blue eyes.
"And I'm sure, we have the same goal, taking down Hydra" I extended my hand.
"What do you say eh?, will ya help me take em down?" I asked, a grin present on my face.
"Whatever it takes, even if to attone for my misdeeds..." he took my hand, pain evident in his voice.
"I guess that makes you the second member of the Pack" i grinned. I have decided to call, my future group, [The Pack]
"Who are you again?" He asked, making me chukle in realization.
...
The rest of the night, I explained who I was, and my plan to him, well not everything about myself, but enough for him to understand me, and trust me.
The next day, he was ready to go out and destroy some Hydra bases, but first, we made our way to a local coffe shop.
I asked if buck wanted some, but he refused, and said he disliked bitter stuff. I didn't mind it, and drank my coffe, after doing that, we made our way back to the car, that I bought a while back.
"You ready to kick some Hydra ass?" I asked with a grin, starting up the car.
"You know the answer" he replied, with his usual poker face, it was quite hard getting more words from him, but I'll eventually break through to him.
...
The next few months, we destroyed Hydra bases all over Washington, New Jersey, Las Vegas and now New York, well those were the only base locations we found from the bases we infiltrated and destroyed.
As I watched Bucky mercilessly pop a guys head with his metal arm, a thought popped up in my head.
'Why not let them catch me?' the thought floated in my head, as if mocking my stupidity, it might sound stupid, but it's quite a plan.
'Have them catch me, then use their state of relief, and sense of victory to take them down, and even possibly, take out their highest superiors' I'll have to sharpen this plan a little more, but it might work.
"ya done Bucky?" I asked, as he shot an Hydra agent, seriously, he might be more terrifying to them, than I am to them, he just kills em with no remorse.
"Yeah" he replied, placing an explosive on his previous location.
"By the way, I just thought of a new idea to take Hydra down" I said, suprising the winter soider.
"Let's get home first though" I suggested, as we got out of the base, getting into the car, we drove off, explosions going off, as we drove away.
...
"Nice" Bucky answered simply, as he listened to my plan "But how do we make sure, they don't shoot us dead, the chance they have" Bucky asked.
"First of all, they won't kill you because, you were a valuable asset to them, and they might think the same of me, since they might try to use the same brainwashing thing they used on you, to brainwash me" I explained, I also had a plan, if things went south.
"Whatever it takes to eradicate them" Bucky agreed, the next base will begin our plan. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell Fury about the plan.
...
After discussing with Bucky about the plan, we met up with Fury, Bucky and Fury have been getting along this few months, but the main point was about Hydra.
"That is an ok plan, but are you sure you can get out of it?, I know you're basically Superhuman with all the feat you've pulled, but still, this might be a little more than you can handle" Fury explained, it was quite unlike him to worry, I guess I truly gained his trust.
"Don't worry, we've got this, don't we?" I grinned, glancing towards Bucky, in which he nodded in agreement, drinking his juice.
"Anyway, Hydra has been moving quite aggressively this past few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the increased destruction of their bases" Fury explained, worry evident in his tone.
"And the fact, that I've been busting some of their asses, and getting any undercover Hydra agent caught... they have been brought to a corner, and they might start acting really..." Fury didn't have to finish his words.
"I know, this plan might be our final push" I devised, it was now or never.
"Sigh... don't die guys" Fury muttered, putting a small smile on my face, Bucky giving a little grunt.
"I'll be taking my leave" Fury announced, getting out of the car.
"When we have this Hydra stuff sorted out, how about we make a group" I suggested, Bucky raising his eyebrow.
"A group that takes out trash, does what heroes can't, and does what's needed" I explained, starting the car.
"Sounds great" Bucky replied, a grin forming on his face "sounds like something I would do" he finished.
"Glad to hear" I also grinned.
Watch out Hydra, your end is near...Surely.
