Capítulo 124: You're A Good Friend

Cora said before that she was living the dream. She had probably always wanted to be an artist but what if there was more to what she said than that?

She had her own apartment. She had friends or, at the very least, people she hung out with. She lived a simple life. Maybe that was all she wanted. If so, her expectations were pretty low. That would make sense after having some sort of trauma when she was younger.

A sad sort of sense though. Ace's heart went out to her. She was getting under his skin more than he was willing to admit.

The following Wednesday, she said that she ate beforehand so at the very least she was able to drive herself home after doing what she had to do. He was willing to bet she cried again but didn't want to admit it.

He wouldn't pry. She was already telling him more than he had expected.
