Capítulo 29: I just want to be friends
"Abel..."
Abel snapped his eyes open, acting on instinct at the hand that was approaching him. In a dazed state, Abel grabbed Aries wrist, pouncing on her until he was pinning her down. His other hand wrapped around her neck, while the other pinning her wrist to her side.
All he could see was red; just like the blazing fire that didn't kill me, resulting in continuous tortures just to kill a monster like him.
"Ah... bel..." Aries winced, breathless at the tightening grip around her neck. He would kill her. She stared into his eyes, seeing how blank they were, as if he couldn't see her.
Using her remaining strength, she called. "It's me..." raising her free hand to cup his cheek. "... Abel."
His dim eyes slowly grew clearer, dilating as soon as he saw her writhing underneath him. On instinct, Abel withdrew his hand as if he was scalded. As soon as he let her go, Aries coughed loudly while groping her neck, catching up to her breathing.

Hello everyone! I just want to clarify something because someone pointed it out in the previous chapter. It is regarding how Aries thought of Abel's kiss despite knowing Abel is with another woman.
I said this from the start. Our characters here are not pure — they are flawed with a spark of madness. Although I always want to leave the conclusion in my readers and how they perceive the character's actions, words, etc. I think I should clarify this.
Aries and Abel aren't in love with each other... yet. Personally, intimacy isn't just about skinship. It is deeper and more than just a kiss, a bathe together, and sex.
So, in this case, don't forget Aries is a survivor. I didn't leave too much detail and just snippets of her life, but she is more than just a victim of all the atrocities done to her. She is smart.
Hence, not liking or disliking Abel's touches only means one thing. She could "stomach" it. It is sad, but our female lead knew where she stands. Because she knows it. Again, she went through a lot.
Dignity, pride, shame... that will not make her survive.
That's all I am going to say. Every character had their own story. Be patient, my dearest. As the story progress, our characters will develop and so was the plot.
Just like in the synopsis, who is the prey?
