AN: I mainly fixed the tense to be consistent past tense. If I missed anything or you find any typos please let me know in the comments.
I was in a terrible situation. I was stuck in Hueco Mundo surrounded be an army of Menos Grande. And not just Gillians and Adjuchas but also several Vasto Lorde.
I knew any back up would arrive too late as while I am a Captain and considerably powerful I am indeed no match for such an army.
The only thing I could do is take as many of them down with me as possible.
I had released my Bankai 'Daiguren Hyorinmaru' half an hour ago and kept freezing hundreds of Gillians every minute but the army seemed endless.
Finally seeing as I was becoming more and more exhausted the Adjuchas started harassing me. And despite taking down a few of them in short order there were just too many of them, not to mention the Vasto Lorde still waiting in the back.
I was accumulating more and more injuries from scratches and bruises to more serious ones like a deep cut on my left arm as well as several burns all over my body from the countless cero blasts coming from all directions.
I knew this was the end for me but I was strangely calm. My body was hurting all over and I was beyond exhausted but despite my terrible situation I was at peace. I knew that thanks to my sacrifice a lot of lives would be saved.
Now the only thing left for me to do was make sure non of these hollows could devour my body to become even stronger.
By now I was on my last leg and finally the Vasto Lorde started to move. There were seven of them and they seemed to be competing over who could get to me first and devour me.
I smiled seeing them rush towards me all at once. This was it.
I mobilized the last of my energy and made it go berserk. I felt satisfied as I saw the horror and despair in their eyes as my body disintegrated and everything within 10 km froze solid and crumpled to icy dust.
Then everything turned black as I died.
Strangely after death I could still feel and seemed to hear a low rhythmic thumping. While it was dark it was not the absolute black of death but rather the darkness of night with your eyes closed.
And I felt a comfortable warmth as though taking a relaxing bath.
And sometimes I could hear muted voices talking, though I could not recognize the language they were speaking.
Like this an unknown amount of time passed as I came in and out of consciousness several times.
I realized that I seemed to be in my mother's womb about to be reborn.
And finally the time came. The walls around me began to tighten as I heard my soon to be mother scream and I was pushed towards the light.
Several minutes later I was finally in the open and started crying as any baby would because being born is painful as hell.
It feels like being shoved through a tube that is only half as big as your head and being squeezed into shape to make you fit. It made me quite envious of normal people as they don't have to remember this pain of being born.
Anyway after being born I was handed to the exhausted woman lying on the bed whom I presumed was my mother. Despite her obvious exhaustion a bright smile lit up her beautiful face as I settled in her arms.
She talked to me in the unknown language I had heard in the womb in a soothing tone and I could clearly feel the love she had for me.
I heard her say some words and among them was one I recognized along with a second I did not but could deduce the meaning.
These two words were "Toshiro Senju".
I recognized this as my new name and I was glad that I was able to keep at least my given name.
I was not upset about getting a new family name as it meant I would finally have a real family after having no blood relatives in soul society.
Suddenly the door burst open and an anxious looking man came storming into the room and heaved a sigh of relief at seeing me and my mother both healthy and in good condition.
My mother looked at him lovingly and carefully handed me over to him.
He was a handsome and tall man in his mid twenties with dark brown hair and a well trimmed beard. His eyes were a blue so deep and dark they almost seemed black if not for the inner shine of blue they seemed to radiate.
His face was lit up in a brilliant smile as he talked to me in a loving tone.
After the last remnants of pain from my recent birth had subsided I suddenly felt very hungry so my body started crying again. My father seemed to start panicking and quickly gave me back to my mother who wasted no time and gave me her breast to feed on.
As a baby I surrendered to my fate and started sucking. Soon my belly was full and fatigue overcame me as I fell asleep happily in my mother's loving embrace.
