Capítulo 2: Whispering Love
The alarm ringing from the black cell phone disturbed Xiao You Ren's deep sleep. He slowly opened his eyes and looked for the phone. After his hand reached for the square object, he turned off the alarm that was still ringing faithfully. Xiao You Ren had not moved from his bed, his mind was still spinning. He took a deep breath and began to organize his daily activities in his brain. Then forcefully sat up before moving to tidy up his room and headed for the bathroom.
Half an hour later he came out of the bathroom looking refreshed. Xiao You Ren wore a white shirt with black satin pants, a red tie and a pants-colored suit. His black hair was neatly styled and a little bangs fell to cover his eyebrows, don't forget he was wearing big round glasses. It made him seem silly and like a boring, nerdy student.
"Huh, not bad." A wry smile appeared on his little face.
Xiao You Ren never cared about other people's assessment of him. To him, as long as it's comfortable and doesn't cause any problems, then everything looks perfect.
Xiao You Ren immediately dashed to the office where his apprentice was, without having breakfast first. He hates having to eat alone. That's why he prefers to eat out, even though he still sits at his own table at least he is accompanied by people who are also enjoying their food. In the café in front of the office, he gently ate two chocolate muffins and a cup of warm milk. Sitting quietly watching the hustle and bustle of people starting to fill the streets, doing their own activities.

"Does the mother have no money?" Xiao You Ren asked himself and continued to pay attention to the two entities.

Zheng Liam, the senior employee who was the head of his division, sat elegantly in the chair across from his desk. The man calmly chewed his breakfast and ignored Xiao You Ren's surprise.
"Liam Ge, how long have you been here?" asked Xiao You Ren after his heartbeat returned to its normal rhythm and his mind recovered from the shock. He went back to chewing on the half-eaten chocolate muffin in his hand.
Zheng Liam looked out the window, watching the mother and daughter slowly walk away from the café grounds. "From the moment someone loses consciousness and enjoys looking out the window so much that they don't notice someone asking permission to sit at the same table as them."
Zheng Liam's long sentence seemed to slap a corner of his ego. He realized that, too focused on paying attention to the things happening outside and oblivious to the circumstances around him.
Maybe if someone wanted to rob him, Xiao You Ren would gladly give permission. His carelessness is like a real curse. Ever since he was little it was Yuchen who had always taken care of him when he was out of the house, so Xiao You Ren's small and big carelessness didn't really cost him much. However, from that day everything changed. There was no longer anyone who was ready to prevent him from committing a reckless unprofitable act.

Again, he unconsciously missed a bite of the chocolate muffin in his hand. Zheng Liam chewed the food he stole from Xiao You Ren carelessly. As if it wasn't a crime. The man even put on an innocent smile, when Xiao You Ren openly gave him a death glare.
"Why did Liam Ge steal mine?"
The older man laughed heartily at Xiao You Ren's innocent words.

After swallowing all the chocolate muffins in his mouth, Xiao You Ren grabbed his chocolate cup and downed the drink quickly. He spoke up and said, "Hey, Senior You Reng, stop your annoying laugh! I'm done with my breakfast and will be heading to work soon. Shall we go together or shall I go first?" Even after those words Zheng Liam couldn't stop laughing. Making Xiao You Ren even more irritated. He roughly stood up until the chair he was sitting on shifted slightly back.
It was Zheng Liam's laughter that was the cause of Xiao You Ren's annoyance, not the man's act of stealing his chocolate muffin. For some reason he felt annoyed, because someone laughed when he had a bad mood in the morning.
Awakened from his laughter, Zheng Liam immediately slid away and followed Xiao You Ren's footsteps. They walked hand in hand with Xiao You Ren who still looked annoyed and tried to get away from the senior. The elder tried to persuade Xiao You Ren to dispel his annoyance. Every now and then Zheng Liam would crack a dry joke and act like a nanny taking care of a little baby.
"You Ren, do you know which artist likes to drink es the?" Zheng Liam asked a strange question with a serious face. As if it was his greatest attempt at making a joke. Xiao You Ren only glanced at the much taller man.
"Sam Smith, I want you es the with me," Zheng Liam continued with a strange laugh. Feeling awkward and a little embarrassed.
After staying at his senior for a long time, starting from leaving the café until they walked down the office corridor, Xiao You Ren finally laughed out loud. Not because of the unfunny joke of his senior, but the face that looks weird when he makes jokes. It comforted Xiao You Ren. Even though Zheng Liam was someone who was cheerful and didn't take things too seriously, he still sucked at making jokes. Zheng Liam subconsciously smiled at Xiao You Ren's reaction. During the few months they had been quite close as senior and junior, never once had Xiao You Ren looked this happy with his laughter. Zheng Liam secretly admired the beauty of Xiao You Ren's lips drawn into a curve.
"It seems that someone has forgiven me," Zheng Liam said.
The concerned just kept laughing until they arrived at the elevator and immediately slid down to the floor where their division was. When they got out of the elevator, three people were already standing in front of the door. To enter the elevator. Realizing that the person who stands proudly with a flat gaze, but remains sharp and charismatic is the CEO. Reflexively Zheng Liam and Xiao You Ren pulled over to the left and right of the elevator, then bowed respectfully to their boss.
The three people entered the elevator without a word, except for one that Xiao You Ren knew named Johnny. He greeted them and whispered to Zheng Liam, "Don't just play around."

The three of them disappeared behind the elevator doors and slid to the top floor. Xiao You Ren glanced at his senior who still looked unmoved, then asked, "Do Liam Ge and Phi John have… mmm… some kind of special relationship?"
Xiao You Ren's curious face looked very innocent. The two slightly widened eyes were hidden behind the large round glasses, yet Zheng Liam could clearly see them. The man's head also slightly tilted.
Zheng Liam let out a small sigh, instead of answering Xiao You Ren's curiosity. "Come on! It's almost time to enter," said Zheng Liam.
He walked first to their study. Behind him Xiao You Ren followed with a grunt that didn't stop until he sat down in his chair, while Zheng Liam entered his private room.
Several hours of wrestling with their respective activities. Finally break time arrived. Even though it was only an hour, but at least it was able to shake off the fatigue that was starting to eat away at the employees' bodies. Xiao You Ren stretched his body muscles in a chair sitting position. His mouth yawned slightly and he blinked a few times before resting his head on the table.
His face sank between his hands. Several employees asked him to fill his stomach to the cafeteria or to the nearby cafes and eateries, but Xiao You Ren gently refused. Said he was sleepy and needed more time to fall asleep than fill his stomach. After all, he was too passionate about work, to the point that he finished a week's work in less than three days.
Xiao You Ren's consciousness slowly began to be snatched away, in a little while he would open the gate to dreams. But the noise managed to bring him back to his senses. He woke up when he heard a commotion not far from his place. Xiao You Ren poked his face out and saw what happened. Phi John, as people called Johnny, was having a serious conversation with Zheng Liam. Xiao You Ren reflexively raised his head, but it seemed that the two people were not aware of his existence. Xiao You Ren felt bad, like he was an eavesdropper, if he continued to be between the two of them without their knowledge. So he decided to go secretly through the walled path that no one would likely notice, considering they were having a serious conversation.
"You Ren!"
Xiao You Ren's body stiffened on the spot. He stiffly turned to Zheng Liam and Johnny who were now looking at him. Xiao You Ren gave a stiff smile and said confusedly, "Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation. I was asleep at my desk so I didn't know anything and now I'm going out so… umm…."
Johnny who was originally staring intently at Xiao You Ren ended up laughing out loud at his behavior. Zheng Liam glared at Johnny before returning his gentle gaze to Xiao You Ren and smiling mischievously.
"No problem, You Ren. Come here!"
The shoulder that was originally raised is now back to normal. Xiao You Ren approached the two of them. Johnny stopped laughing and looked seriously at Xiao You Ren who was now standing next to him.
"You Ren, there's a bit of an office problem. An important document containing the interior design of K-Corp's new company was deleted and the designer who created the design has a wrist injury." Zheng Liam's face looked many times more serious than usual. It seems that this problem is quite serious.
Then Johnny opened his mouth and added, "It took about a month to recreate the design, but," he sighed heavily, "the biggest problem is that this design has to be shown to the K-Corp owners in a week."

"Ah, great idea. I'll talk to the CEO." Johnny's face brightened. The wrinkles at the corners of his eyebrows loosened a little. "You guys better take a break and have lunch first, I'm going to the CEO's room."
Johnny left them and rushed to the CEO's room upstairs after getting a nod from Xiao You Ren and a sigh from Zheng Liam. The two of them went along and walked into the cafeteria area. Ordered some food and brought their respective trays to an empty table.
"Phi John's face was so pale just now." Xiao You Ren spoke with his mouth full.
Zheng Liam, who was in front of him, kept an eye on the way the man was eating. He frowned and swallowed the food in his mouth hastily. "Swallow your food before you speak," he said curtly.
The person in question just smiled broadly as if he hadn't done anything wrong.
Zheng Liam took a deep breath. "Of course the CEO will be furious if he finds out that such an important file has been deleted. The design project of the K-Corp subsidiary is quite large and can raise the company's name." After a long talk, he returned to eating his food.
Meanwhile, Xiao You Ren was digesting the words of his senior and division head.

Zheng Liam laughed at the sight of Xiao You Ren who had come back from his thoughts with his face gaping in surprise from the small punch on the cheek. Xiao You Ren nodded slightly and immediately chewed the food in his mouth, then swallowed. "Ah, love really makes a person weird." He giggled awkwardly after saying that line.
Zheng Liam noticed the look on his junior's face, who was again eating the food on his plate. "Have you ever been like that?" asked Zheng Liam seductively.
Xiao You Ren just widened his eyes and wiped his lips with a tissue. "No, but my old brother is like that."
Inwardly, Xiao You Ren laughed bitterly. Remembering Han Yu who was like a madman because of their father's death and turned back to normal after meeting Lim Sun Lian.
Love is terrible.
Xiao You Ren vowed to never fall in love with anyone other than himself. He didn't want to be a slave to love.
They ended the break and walked back to the employee room. Crowded with other employees who will also return to their respective division rooms. Inside the elevator, Xiao You Ren felt squeezed in the middle of the other employees. Zheng Liam, who saw Xiao You Ren's sour and uncomfortable face, immediately grabbed the man's hand and cornered him in the corner of the elevator. Zheng Liam's bigger body seemed to fortify Xiao You Ren from the crowd in the elevator.
"Thank you, Ge," Xiao You Ren said right under Zheng Liam's ear. Causing the older man to lower his gaze and meet Xiao You Ren's beady eyes hidden behind his round glasses. The sweet man's lips curved into a sincere smile. Zheng Liam just nodded stiffly.
They had already entered the employee room, Xiao You Ren was even ready to start his work.
Just as the mouse in his hand had just shifted, someone called out, "Xiao You Ren, the CEO sent you to his office!"
That sentence managed to make everyone stare at Xiao You Ren. Asking through their eyes.
The man lifted his head and nodded slightly at the person. He immediately left his place to go to the CEO's room which was located one floor above the employee room. He entered the spacious room with a slightly pounding heart. His mind worked on the idea that was conveyed during the break earlier. Did the CEO refuse to accept his idea? But what was he called for? Does that mean the CEO balks at the idea? That's the kind of question that floated in his mind.
Someone manning the CEO's door directed Xiao You Ren to the internal meeting room, which was not far from the CEO's room and was still on the same floor. Before entering, Xiao You Ren knocked on the door first. And only really opened it when a voice ordered him to enter. Inside the room there were already several important people that Xiao You Ren knew were Johnny, Zheng Liam and of course the CEO of Wang Company, Wang Xian Wei. Xiao You Ren bowed for a moment and then sat himself down on the chair that had been provided. On the side of Zheng Liam as the head of his division.
They talked about the idea that Xiao You Ren had given him this afternoon. And got approval from the CEOs of the other division heads, after nearly half an hour of discussing it.
"After this, send one of the best employees from your division!" Wang Xian Wei's orders. All division heads nodded in agreement and replied, "Yes sir."
"Except for the division led by Zheng Liam, prepare some reliable people. We need some of the best designers to work with and work fast."
Zheng Liam just nodded his head and glanced at Xiao You Ren. He slightly parted the boy's bangs and smiled gently. "You're ready to shine, You Ren," he whispered to Xiao You Ren who had a blank look on his face.
Zheng Liam laughed stifledly, it seemed that teasing Xiao You Ren would become his new routine. He liked seeing Xiao You Ren's innocent looking confused face.
All of their interactions did not go unnoticed by Wang Xian Wei. Although his face looked indifferent, but for some reason he was a little disturbed by that.
