In another part of the village, Shizuma's anger was palpable. He kicked the wall with a force that echoed through the silent alleyway. He had underestimated Boruto, the Hokage's son, and it had cost him.
"I should have known better," Shizuma muttered under his breath. "The son of the strongest Kage would naturally be powerful."
Just then, his subordinate arrived, breaking the silence. "Boss, should we attack the Hokage's son?" he asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Shizuma shook his head, his mind already formulating a new plan. "No, we wait until we get the swords," he said, his voice cold and determined.
His subordinate nodded and he knew that he had to be patient and wait for the right moment to strike. After all, revenge was a dish best-served cold.
Two days have passed,
Chojuro and Mei strolled side by side, their steps echoing as they left the Mizukage building. Chojuro's back was noticeably bare, his weapon already handed over to his successor, Kagura.
"Our swords have been stolen and we still have no idea who is responsible," Chojuro confessed, his voice heavy with concern.
Mei turned to him, her eyes narrowing in thought. "Did you give the key to anyone else?" she asked.
Chojuro nodded. "I gave it to Kagura," he admitted.
Mei looked at him, her expression turning serious. "So, Kagura is the one who stole them?"
Chojuro was quick to defend his student. "Kagura would never do that. Maybe he was knocked out," he suggested.
Mei's eyebrows raised in surprise. "Are you implying that your student is weak enough to get knocked out?" she asked, her tone teasing.
Chojuro bowed his head in apology. "I'm sorry, sensei," he said, feeling a little embarrassed.
Mei sighed and said, "We need to find Kagura and whoever he's working with. There's no way he could have done this alone." The two of them then set off, determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.
As Boruto was about to enter the Mizukage building to speak with Chojuro, he happened upon Chojuro and Mei outside. Noticing their stressed expressions, Boruto's curiosity was piqued.
"Did something happen?" he asked.
"Six of our treasured swords have been stolen," Mei revealed, trusting that Boruto, as the Hokage's son, would keep the information confidential.
"Didn't you have any Anbu guarding the room?" Boruto queried.
"We did, but we suspect Kagura might be involved as the Anbu wouldn't stop him," Mei admitted.
Boruto offered his assistance, which led Chojuro to question if it would be too much trouble for him. Boruto dismissed his concern and asked if he could have one of the swords as a reward for catching the thief.
Mei and Chojuro exchanged looks before Chojuro asked, "Which sword would you want?"
"Samehada," Boruto replied confidently. "There aren't many in this village who can handle Samehada. Plus, you'd still have five swords left."
Chojuro questioned if Boruto could handle Samehada, to which Boruto responded, "Of course, I'm the Hokage's son. I'm sure it would prefer my chakra."
Mei then made a deal with Boruto. "If you catch the thieves, you can have Samehada. But remember, you will be its only owner until your death."
Boruto agreed and left to start his search.
Chojuro turned to Mei, "Sensei, are you really going to give him Samehada?"
Mei nodded, "Yes, giving one of our swords to the Hokage's son will strengthen our ties. It's better to build more connections, especially if he catches the culprits first."
Later that night,
Boruto arrived at a desolate, rundown location, alone and on edge. Suddenly, he was bumped by a member of the Shizuma group, who handed him a small note warning him to come alone or else they would begin killing tourists for fun.
As he approached the building in front of him, he noticed several individuals attempting to ambush him. But Boruto was quick and managed to dodge their attacks.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse as the entire area became shrouded in a thick mist, making it difficult for Boruto to see.
As he tried to regain his bearings, he realized that the people attacking him were Fuefuki Kyoho, who was wielding Kabutowari, Hebiichigo, who had Nuibari, Kurosuki Buntan, who was using Kiba, Oniyuzu Ichirota, who had Shibuki, and Hassaku, who was wielding Kubikiribocho.
As Boruto's eyes turned red, he analyzed the group of attackers before him. "You guys are a joke," he scoffed, unimpressed by their efforts to ambush him.
But then he noticed a thin string, and a smirk formed on his face. "Who do these guys think I am?" he thought to himself.
Boruto allowed the string to tie him up, wrapping around his arms, hands, legs, and thighs. Despite being restricted, he continued to grin confidently.
Suddenly, Ichirota and Hassaku launched an overhead attack on Boruto, while Kyoho swung his hammer right in front of him. But Boruto was unfazed, using his strength to snap the thin string and push away the swords with ease. The sudden force caused them to fly away as Ichirota and Hassaku to hold onto their swords tightly.
Boruto then jumped onto Kyoho's hammer, which had struck the ground, breaking it. With a swift upward jump kick, Boruto sent Kyoho flying through the air.
Boruto landed on the ground with a thud, unimpressed by the group's feeble attempts to defeat him. As he stood up, he noticed Buntan launching a yellow lightning bolt towards him, using Kiba as her weapon.
Boruto quickly made a hand sign, creating a wind sword that sliced through the lightning with ease. "Too weak," he said, a hint of disdain in his voice.
He then turned his attention to Hebiichigo, and launched a Genjutsu and was now on her knees. "Aren't you guys relying too much on your weapons?" Boruto taunted, looking at the group with a hint of amusement.
As Boruto was caught off guard, a massive sword came crashing down on his head. But he quickly caught the sword with his hand and turned to face his attacker. "Long time no see, coward," he said, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
Shizuma tried to move his sword, but Boruto had a tight grip on it. Shizuma gritted his teeth as he realized that Boruto was much stronger than he had anticipated.
With a sly smile on his face, Shizuma taunted Boruto, "Don't you know that this sword can steal Chakra?"
Boruto's grin widened as he replied, "Yes, I do know. Eat my Chakra, Samehada, and I can offer you more than this guy." He raised his hand and commanded, "Rise, Samehada!"
With a burst of energy, the bandages on Samehada were destroyed, revealing a mouth on the sword that grinned widely. It slapped Shizuma with its body, causing him to let go of the hilt. Samehada then jumped around Boruto happily, like an obedient dog.
Shizuma was in shock as he watched Samehada betray him right in front of his eyes.
Boruto smiled as he knelt down to the sword and whispered, patting Samehada gently. "In the future, you will feast on even more delicious Chakra. Follow and stay loyal to me, okay, Samehada?"
Samehada nodded, and Boruto stood up, opening his palm. Samehada happily jumped into Boruto's palm, ready to be wielded by his new master.
"Kisame would be disappointed in you, but this is true to what happened to him after being betrayed by Samehada, who craved Tailed Beast Chakra," Boruto said, his voice laced with a hint of sadness.
Shizuma called out to Samehada, but the sword didn't listen at all. It was clear that Samehada had found a new master in Boruto, and he was more than happy to follow his every command.
"Samehada, because you are like this, take about 70% of my Chakra. Good boy," Boruto said, as he let his Chakra get taken away by the sword.
"Kagura!" Shizuma yelled, as he signaled for someone to attack Boruto. In a split second, someone rushed towards Boruto, wielding the Hiramekirei sword, attempting to diagonal slash him.
"Kagura, it's been a while," Boruto said, blocking the attack with Samehada.
"Sharingan?" Kagura was surprised to see Boruto with that kind of eye.
"Surprised?" Boruto smirked. "Now that I look at your face, are you Yagura's grandson?"
"Yes, I am," Kagura replied, trying to slide his sword away, but Boruto held on firmly.
Buntan quickly moved to Shizuma to help him up, while the others who had been sent flying stood up, watching as Boruto and Kagura clashed swords.
"I guess I should make history repeat itself, just like what Uchiha Obito did to Yagura," Boruto said, using a bit of force to send Kagura flying.
"Also, isn't this a bit poetic? The New Seven Sword Ninja losing to Might Guy's student. If you don't know, Might Guy is the son of Might Dai," Boruto added.
Every swordsman in the room was now terrified to hear Might Dai's name.
"Yes, if you're wondering if I can use that forbidden technique, I'm quite nice, as the Mizukage let me take Samehada if I caught all of you. So, if you guys don't want to die, I suggest you put your swords down," Boruto warned.
Ichirota heard that and tried using his sword's ability to kill Boruto with an explosion. But Boruto quickly turned his head, activating his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and using telekinesis to stop Ichirota. He also used Genjutsu to knock out Ichirota.
The moment Ichirota was hit by the Genjutsu, his eyes turned blank, and bubbles came out of his mouth. He fell to the ground with his sword.
Kyoho and Hassaku put their weapons down, terrified of Boruto after witnessing what had just happened in a matter of seconds.
Shizuma and Buntan were both shocked to see what had transpired in front of their eyes.
"Kagura, are you going to surrender or not?" Boruto asked, his tone serious. "Or should I just use Genjutsu on you?"
Kagura quickly looked down, hoping to avoid getting caught in the Genjutsu, but Boruto saw through his intentions. "You're forgetting you're already in my Genjutsu," Boruto stated.
Kagura's eyes turned blank as he fell to the ground, unconscious.
Boruto placed Samehada on his shoulder and turned to face Shizuma and Buntan. "So, what are the two of you going to do? Die by my hand or get sent to prison?" he asked.
Shizuma saw how weak he was compared to Boruto and knew that surrendering was the only option. "We surrender," he said, defeated.
"Here I thought you wanted to launch a war. I alone stopped you guys, even with these swords. What a failure," Boruto said, his smile turning evil. "But before that, I'm erasing your memory of seeing my Sharingan. It won't be that bad, but you'll have a few days of trauma."
As Boruto walked towards them, his eyes fixated on Shizuma. The swordsman tried to unleash his final form, but Boruto was too quick for him. In one swift motion, Boruto slapped Shizuma, sending him crashing to the ground, unconscious.
Buntan, who was holding Kiba, looked up at Boruto with fear in her eyes. "Are you going to try to launch a sneak attack?" Boruto asked, his voice cold and menacing.
Buntan quickly put down Kiba and raised her hands in surrender. "I surrender," she said, her voice trembling.
