***ADDIE'S POV***

The Goddess spoke with a soft, smooth, and calming tone. It was like love and warmth woven into words. And I could not get enough. I wanted to listen to it forever if I could, though I knew that was impossible. 

"Adaiah, my child, I have watched over you for so long. Your time in each life, and the immeasurable time between those lives. And I have loved seeing you blossom and grow into yourself. You're a fine young woman, my dear, and I have loved watching over you."

"And I appreciate the help you have given me. I just wish I knew whether my future was in danger or not. With me being summoned here, I have a feeling neither me nor Nolan are safe."

"I can understand why you think that, Adaiah, but I called you here to put your heart and mind at ease."

"You did?" I asked her, allowing hope to surge inside of me, swelling my chest as it did.
