**ADDIE'S POV**
The dance between the God and Goddess of the ball was nearly over. Hollis and I were smiling and trying to look calm and confident with so many people watching us but, frankly, it was hard to pull off.
"I'm sorry." I heard Hollis whisper to me as I looked apprehensively around the ballroom at the watchers.
"It's not your fault." I tried to give him a smile. I will admit that it was easier to calm down when I was focused on him. It wasn't because he was particularly special to me, not like Nolan. No, I was sure that it was all due to the fact that he was something to take my mind off of things.
"You look nervous. I'm guessing that you're nervous with all of the eyes on us."
"Yeah. And you know, it's strange. I am used to people looking at me. It has happed to me a lot in my life. And it has happened here as well. I guess that it is just because I don't want the attention at the moment. I mean, should we even be the ones that are here?"
