The screech of horror and disgust that came from Winifred had me wanting to laugh. I could tell that Nolan was thinking the same thing, but he just snaked his arms around me and kissed me back. Both of us had slight smiles on our faces though, I could feel it in his lips.

"Stop that this instant, you little slut! How dare you do something so reprehensible. That man is so far above your station that you are nothing but a mere bug to him."

"Actually, Winifred, you are wrong there." Callum's voice deepened as he started to let his anger show now. And when Nolan pulled back from the kiss, he turned his dark green eyes on the vile woman.

"You are the one that needs to be taught a lesson, Winifred. You are so far off the mark that you don't know how much trouble you are in."

"Excuse me? What is happening here?" She was completely stumped and stupefied.
