***DOMINIC'S POV***

Addie currently had her arms wrapped around me and was trying to soothe the guilt that I was feeling. She was such an amazing young woman. She cared what her dear old uncle was feeling in a time that had to be really hard for her. And on top of that, she had taken away the painful stinging in my eyes from when I was crying. She was so amazing and could literally do anything if she just tried.

It was true that she needed a little bit more training, but she was such a good mage already. It was one hundred percent clear to me that I would never be able to keep up with her. As she got older her magic would get stronger. And, one day, I do believe that Addie could surpass everyone. With her abilities, with the runes amplifying her power, I don't think that there will be anyone in this entire world that would be able to match her. And that was why I was trying to protect her so much.
