Glen stared blankly for a moment, then a calculating grin lit his face. His expression startled Alicia, who narrowed her eyes without speaking even though her body language showed that she was dying to know what the alpha was thinking. However, for nothing in the world, she would lower herself to ask. The alpha who had noticed her curiosity decided to let her wait and changed the subject.
"On another note, I'm not sure I quite recorded yet..." He turned to the mound of bodies letting out a foul-smelling, black goo that soiled the floor. "What is that?"
Alicia raised an eyebrow and then rolled her eyes before letting out a groan of frustration. Unfazed by her annoyance, Glen crossed his arms, determined to obtain the explanations he needed to fulfill his mission so he can return to his mate as soon as possible.
