Capítulo 3: Chapter Two : Moving out was fun until....

'May I come in?' Lily knocked on the head auror's office's door, who also happen to be his father, Harry Potter. She didn't wait for his answer as she was in a hurry and entered his office.

'Lily!' Harry's face lit up as he saw his daughter. 'So how's the training going?'

Not well, she wanted to respond but then if she said that she will also have to tell him the reason behind it. And that won't make her father happy. Accepting a Malfoy as his son's friend is a different thing but a Malfoy being his only daughter's crush won't go down well with him.

'It's going well. Everything is fine.'

'Really? Ted told me your spell started misfiring suddenly in today's class.' Lily closed her eyes. Why did Ted had to be so honest with Harry? It was almost like the former owed something to the latter.

'Everything is new for me. It'll take some time to adjust to the training.'

Harry smiled warmly at his daughter and said, 'Lily, I'm your father. If theirs anything that's been bothering you, you can always come and talk to me. Or even your mom or anyone in the family.'

'Dad, now you're overthinking. All of this is new for me, I'll soon get used to it, don't worry.'

'Sure?' Lily nodded.

She took a deep breath and asked what she had actually come for. 'So did mom talk to you about...'

'You moving out? Yes she did.'

'So....' Lily began in anticipation.

'Well.....' Harry wanted to say no. There was no way he could allow Lily to be away from his eyes for he had always been too protective of her. But last night's conversation with his wife had made him think.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Last night*

'Something smells nice.' Harry entered the kitchen to find Ginny cooking with a smile. He'd hardly see her like that for he knew well how much his wife detested cooking. So if she was doing it now there was a reason for it.

'I'm cooking.' Ginny said still stirring the soup with a ladle.

'That I see.' He moved closer tot he kitchen counter and placed his elbows their, resting his face in his palms. 'But the question is why you're cooking.'

'Because you love the food I cook.'

'That I do. But you hate cooking.'

'I don't hate it, I just don't like it.'

'Is there a difference?'

'Yeeeesss.'

'Ginny?' Harry straightened up. 'What is it?'

'Nothing. I just wanted to cook for...'

'Ginny, quit it.'

She dropped the ladle in the utensil and placed her hands on her hips. 'Lily wants to move out.'

'No.' Harry said immediately.

'Harry...'

'No Ginny I'm not having a discussion on this. She was already away form us for a year because you and Fleur persuaded me like crazy but I'm not letting her go this time.'

'She's not going anywhere. We'll buy her a place nearby and...'

'No, no, and no.'

'Why not?'

'Do you even need to ask? Don't you know what.....'

'I know. I know everything but think about it Harry, is it right to stop our daughter from doing something that she wants just because we cannot let go of our fear.'

'What of something bad happens?'

'That can happen even if she stays with us.'

Harry knew Ginny had a point. He started in his wife's eyes and asked, 'You want her to move out?'

'I don't want to stop her from doing anything.'

'I don't know.'

'Think about it Harry. What of we stop her from doing as she wishes and she takes it to her heart. She will stop telling us things and I'm afraid that's going to be more harmful than her being few miles away.' Harry sighed and looked out the window. What was he supposed to do?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Dad! Dad! Are you here?' Lily waved her hand in front of Harry and he shook his head coming out of his thoughts.

'Yeah I'm here. Sorry. Um...'

'So can I move out?'

He breathed out and said, 'Yes.' Lily's eyes widened for she couldn't believe he'd agreed.

'Really? Dad I love you so much. I just...Ahhhhh....I'm so happy.' She jumped up and down with joy like a five year old and Harry wondered if it would've been better if she could be a child forever. 'I have so much to do....'

'Yeah. You need to find a house, buy furniture and other stuff.'

'Don't worry about that. I've already bought a house and furniture will be on it's way by now there, which is why I think I should leave.' And she was almost out of the door when Harry stopped her.

'Hold on, what do you mean you have a house? And you bought furniture too?'

'Aha.'

'You were sure I was going to say yes?' Harry narrowed his eyes.

Lily's lips turned up to form a goofy smile. 'You can never say no to mom.' And she left her father dropping his hands in the air. Indeed, his only weakness was his family.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next day in the potter household it more chaotic than the day when James's, Harry and Ginny's elder son's quidditch team had visited their home. Boxes, clothes, books, things that Lily used, was going to use, and never going to use were being segregated. Mostly it was Ginny who was busy packing the important stuff, whereas Lily kept bringing new stuff from places her mother failed to know.

Harry had taken a day off hoping that he would get to drive his daughter to her new place but it turned out that Lily had already outsourced the task to her brother, Albus. Hence Harry, since morning, was busy complaining how his family was not telling him things.

'Is it really necessary to move out?' He asked for the zenith time.

'Dad, you ask that one more time and I'll have to ask mom to tape your mouth.'

'But this is so early. I mean yesterday only we gave you permission and now this.'

Ginny dropped the box she was holding on the table and moved next to Harry making him sit on the chair. 'Calm down. Our daughter knows what she is doing and we are going to trust her.' last words were said with a bit more emphasis.

'Fine.' Said Harry folding his hands in the front.

After about an hour Albus arrived with their cousin Hugo, seeing whom Lily got excited for both of the them shared a great bond due to being same age. Lily was only few months younger than him.

'Hugo!' She exclaimed and went running to give him a hug.

'I'm also here.' Albus said dryly.

From Hugo, Lily went on to hug Albus who took her in his arms happily and ruffled her hair. 'I missed you.' Lily pouted and said.

'I missed you too.' They had family dinner once when she came back from France and since then both of them had been busy with their respective work, Albus being more busy since he was training to be a healer.

It was when her excitement from seeing her brothers toned down that she realized that, 'Why is Rose not here?'

'Ah, she is covering my shift at St. Mungo's.' Albus replied.

'Which is why I'm here.' Hugo said with a smile.

But Lily could only stuff her face in her hands.

'What's wrong?' Ginny asked.

'Rose was supposed to drive us to my new place.' Lily answered.

'We can teleport.' Hugo suggested. No wonder people called him naïve.

'Hugo, how are we going to teleport so much stuff that I have. We could use a spell but I don't know proper address which is why I asked Albus to bring Rose with him since he doesn't know how to drive.'

'I will learn it soon.' Albus said.

'But I need to move out today Albus.' Lily stomped her foot.

'I can drive you.' Harry chipped in and Lily shrugged. This is exactly what she didn't want in first place. If her father drives her their, he's definitely going to find some flaw in the place and force her to return with him.

Thankfully Albus came to his sister's rescue and said, 'Don't worry Dad. I've asked a friend to help us out today.'

Hearing that Lily's eyes lit up. Thank god, she thought. Just when she was about to ask who it was, the doorbell rang.

'I'll take that.' Hugo said and went ahead to see who the guest was. A minute later he returned with what lily could easily dub as her 'nightmare of the day'. Moving out was fun until Albus's best friend Scorpius Malfoy entered their living room.

'Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Potter, I'm here to help Albus.' He greeted her parents and stated the motive of his appearance.

'So nice of you Scorpius.' Ginny smiled at him to which he nodded curtly.

'I could've just drove you there.' Harry mumbled for Lily to hear and for the first time today she thought he was right. But now there was no turning back for she wasn't given any option to accept or decline his help. Boxes were already being picked up and taken outside. What was she supposed to do now?

Harry did a spell so that all of Lily's stuff would fit in the car and bid his daughter goodbye with a warning that he wanted to see her new place as soon as possible. Ginny hugged Lily and kissed her cheek before sending her away.

Soon Lily, Albus, Hugo and extra quiet Scorpius arrived at her new place. 'My apartment is on the first floor.' She said loud enough to be heard by all three boys who nodded and started their work. Not that they had to do much as everyone used magic. As Lily took the elevator to her apartment she realized Scorpius was the first one to reach their with a box and was probably waiting for her.

'What's wrong?' She asked to which he pointed at the lock. He mouth formed in an 'O' and she went ahead to tap her wand to open the door. Without a word Scorpius entered the apartment and placed the box near the plush couch she had bought few days ago. The process repeated and within half an hour every box was near that couch. All this while the only three people who talked with each other were Albus, Hugo and Scorpius. No one talked to her as if they were too busy. This frustrated Lily and she huffed every now and then. This was noticed by her cousin, who came to her.

'What is it?' He asked.

'Why am I being given the silent treatment?' She asked.

'Tell me honestly, Are you bothered by me and Albus not getting time to talk to you or.....' He gave a side look to her.

'Or what?'

'You still are not over him, are you?'

She turned to him in frustration. 'Why do people want me to be over him? Do you guys know something that I don't?'

'The guy won't even talk to you, do you think you'll get anything for crushing over a guy like that?'

'I won't stop until I get to know what's his deal. Do you know why he won't talk to me?' Lily was curious than ever. Maybe, Hugo being a guy could answer what was going on in Scorpius's head.

'Well, there could be two scenarios. Either he is allergic to girls in general or...'

Before he could complete Lily interrupted him. 'He talks to every other girl normally. He's even friends with Rose. I think it's the second scenario.'

'Second scenario is that he doesn't likes you so he's avoiding you.' Lily's heart dropped. Did Scorpius really not like her?

'But...'

Lily's eyes shifted her focus to Scorpius now who was along with Albus now moving furniture to put it to it's place. 'But What?'

Hugo too looked at them and said in a low voice so that only lily could hear, 'I think in his case it's the third scenario. He like you but there's something that's stopping him from acting on those feelings.'

'What could it be?'

'That you have to find out on your own.' Hugo finished their conversation and went ahead to help Albus and Scorpius. He glanced back at Lily who looked conflicted and then stared at Scorpius. Even if he didn't say it to Lily, Hugo did have a slightest idea what was holding the Malfoy boy back. No one would want to ruin their relationship with their best friend by hitting on their family member, especially not their younger sister.
