A year has passed, Luciella turned 15 and Ji Cheng Mo turned 25 years old. Their relationship were pretty rocky, due to the little time they had together. Ji Cheng Mo busied himself with the Ji Medicals, while Luciella was schooling.
They hardly see each other, which saddened Luciella. She felt Ji Cheng Mo was acting a little weird, he had been cold towards her lately. Does not reply to her text as quickly and the times he called her became lessened, she felt weird.
Whenever she called him, he would say 'I can't baby, why not you find your friends and play' or 'I'm sorry baby, I am in a meeting right now.' She did not feel like she had a boyfriend anymore, whenever she came back from school.
She would be at home, the number of time Luciella saw Alessandro was more than Ji Cheng Mo.

"Baby, do you not get I am busy?!" Ji Cheng Mo raised his voice at Luciella who went to visit him, "Do you not love me anymore?" She shouted at him, her eyes became teary.
Ji Cheng Mo simmered down, walking towards Luciella who was standing in the middle of his office. He kissed her hands, "It's not like that, you know how my family is. It's a very crucial time for me now, could you bear with it for a while." he coaxed her.
He was fairly busy with taking on the heir role, for Ji Medical. Since he was still young, he needed to prove to the elders that he could be a pretty capable president. Which was why Ji Cheng Mo did not have time for Luciella, and if he continue to just play around with her.
The elders may think he was weak, and would fall head over heels for a girl and not care about his career. It was because of that, that made Ji Cheng Mo control himself. Though he did not realized he was being blinded by materialistic gains, "How long do I have to wait?" Luciella felt her patience thinning, seeing Ji Cheng Mo only cared about his career.
"Once I am done with this big project, be a good girl and wait for me." He looked at her gently, while ruffling her hair.
Luciella hugged him, snuggling into his embrace. "Alright." She wanted to argue back, but decided against it.

"Luca!" Luciella ran towards Alessandro who went to pick her up after school, "What makes you so happy today?"
"Cheng and I are going on a date!" She smiled widely at Alessandro, "His still there?" Alessandro had forgotten his existence, "Of course!" Luciella grinned from ear to ear.
'Fool' Alessandro thought, signaling the driver to drive.
"He brought me a lot of gifts, I love them all!" Luciella played with her phone as she told Alessandro everything.
"Does he love you?" Alessandro asked, looking at her. Because from what he saw, it does not seem to be the case.
Luciella did not know how to answer then, her eyes were unfocused. She fiddled with her phone, when she saw the text message from Ji Cheng Mo.
[Cheng: Baby, I suddenly have a meeting. I will repay you another day, l love you!]
A simple message from him, Luciella smiled weakly. 'I love you' she felt disappointed, she was really happy that day. But Ji Cheng Mo cancelled their date yet again, she felt saddened.
"So where are you meeting with him?" Alessandro asked, so that he could drop her off there.
Luciella shook her head, saying she just want to go home.

Maybe both Luciella and Ji Cheng Mo did not communicate well, there was a huge misunderstanding between them. Ji Cheng Mo actually was always excited to see Luciella, but whenever he planned out the date with her.
Or whenever he wanted to go to her house, he realized from the intel he received from his guards to protect Luciella. They said she was always with Alessandro, from the photos he could see how happy she was, those dimples.
His mood drastically changed, whenever he saw her with that man. 'Do you not love me anymore, Rong Xuan.' he felt his heart prickled everytime she was with Alessandro, he wanted her to run to him and ask him why he was not hanging out with her.
But every time it was to no avail, Luciella did not voice out her thoughts. Both did not know when was it, that led them to where they were, the initial sweet love in the air was gone. It was suffocating together, not knowing each others thoughts.
