In Kyoto, it was dark as the night took over the city. The bright full moon shone its light down making the city although dark still bright enough to see. At an alley, a man was frantically running away with a brown bag that he held tightly around his chest.
His expression showed fear as he ran with all his might. His speed greater than that of a human as he easily jumped above fences and ran up the wall to jump to the rooftop.
The man wore a brown cloak that covered him though one could see that he had black hair and underneath the cloak, his vestment was gold and red and had square patterns on the waist with symbols inscribed all over his clothes.
Though he wore beautifully tailored clothes, it was covered by the dirty cloak and wounds. His clothes were filled with cuts and were dyed red with his blood.
"Damn it! This isn't what they told me!" He mumbled angrily.
But before he could cuss more, his eyes opened wide as he ducked lying flat on the chest. A split second later, something ripped through the air crashing in front of him creating a dust cloud obscuring his vision.
He quickly stood back up and brought out a cleaver that was on his waist with one hand and attaching the back to his back. He was tense and nervous as sweat ran down his back.
"Hand it over and I won't have to rip your head off."
A voice came out of the smoke as a figure could slowly be seen walking out of it. Green glowing eyes could be seen even in the smoke.
"I'm not handing it to anyone." The man said as he tightened his grip over the bag.
Arai walked through the smoke revealing himself.
Surrounding him from both sides were cursed spirits who could be graded as second grade.
"Then I won't waste my breath." With that said, his cursed spirits charged at the man. With his guard up, he quickly diverted the spirits attacks with his weapon. Through his display of power, his rank was second grade sorcerer.
Though he was winning, he was still focusing on Arai knowing the bigger threat wasn't his summons but he himself.
He blocked the attack from the spirit and kicked the other blowing it away. With his free hand, he grabbed it by the neck locking it in place and brought up his cleaver. With the intention to kill it, he swung it down with all his strength.
But before he could exorcise it, he was suddenly blown away. Blown away by a powerful force, his teeth clenched from the pain as blood spilled through his mouth. Looking at the origin of it, there stood Arai with a fist covered in blood.
Thinking on his feet, he quickly readjusted himself and landed. Looking down, he saw the cleaver which he used had a crack on it.
'This guy... he instantly appeared in front of me and threw a punch. Its output was crazy even when I blocked with my cleaver. I took damage.' He thought, looking at his situation. It was starting to look more grim.
He didn't have time to think as Arai made his next move. With one step, he cracked the ground with his foot and with an explosive speed charged straight to him.
Before he could register what had happened, he found his vision turning upside down. All he saw now was the bright full moon shining within the night.
'What... happened.' He was suddenly facing the sky with his head down.
A sudden pain hit his head as he touched his forehead to see it bleeding.
'I see...'
He was pushed down by Arai before he even had the chance to react. Worst was that he could not even sense it coming because of Arai's unique composition.
His face was suddenly grabbed as his mouth was covered by a hand.
"I'll make this quick." His eyes now staring into Arai's green one felt terrifying. He struggled as he desperately tried to escape.
"Wait!-"
What humans fear the most is their lack of control. Control of a situation. Their fear of someone having control over them is universal. To be able to decide what they want to do, to do what they want to.
That is something everyone wants.
To be free.
Enslavement is something every human fears. Even sorcerers.
The man's eyes became green like Arai's for a moment before they reverted back to its normal state. His struggled ended as Arai let go of his grip.
"Tell me, who's your boss and what your goal was?" Arai demanded as if it was an order.
Oddly enough, the man stood up and bowed his head to Arai having no intention of running away.
"My executive name is Amari Kayo. He is the man behind all of this and was responsible for all of the crimes at the Shibuki night. Our intention was to kidnap one of the children from the orphanage who was reported to have enough cursed energy to be qualified as a sorcerer and cause a large enough commotion that sorcerers would need to be dispatched there while we steal 'it' from Jujutsu Tech who were transporting 'it'."
Arai pondered over the information he was given. Not long after, he nodded firmly at his decision.
"Can you infiltrate your hideout or anything?"
"Unfortunately no, I was given the mission to transport the cursed tool to another sorcerer but they've made many precautions. I am not to join any of the faculties or hideouts for 4 months or they will attack me.
They've also changed all locations so all the places I knew are now useless. I also have no way of contacting them."
Arai frowned at the info he received. The people behind the scenes have been playing safe and did not reveal anything. "Seems like they've taken a bunch of precautions. So you're useless, well I've done my job. No need to go too far, write down everything you know and I'll send you off."
The man did as told and began writing down everything he knew. After a few moments, he handed a notebook to Arai.
A weird phenomenon happened as Arai grabbed the notebook and put it against his ear. The notebook slowly shrunk to fit the hole in the ear and it passed through leaving no trace behind.
"Gather up, all of you." The cursed spirits and the man nodded and grouped up near Arai. When their limbs came close to his ear, the same phenomenon happened once more as they were all sucked in and disappeared.
Looking down, he could see the brown bag on the floor and picked it up. Opening the bag, he saw inside of it were numerous talismans and were used to protect the package. He immediately destroyed them and could now see the item inside.
It was a needle with a beautiful red, jade and golden color to it. Engravings were written on it but could not be read by him as it was another language.
Arai nodded satisfied. "Package secured, mission accomplished." He put the needle in his ear making it disappear.
His green eyes slowly lost the color it had and turning completely white. His eyes no longer had pupils within them nor sclera. Arai quickly covered it with a pair of sunglasses that he wore.
Arai left the scene after removing all traces of himself or anyone being here.

"Here it is fully intact, not even a scratch on it." Arai said before slamming the item on a desk not caring whether it was damaged.
"Now. My money." Arai said in a demanding tone.
Facing Arai were a group of men in black suits. They all had a muscular build and kept their hands behind their back. They faces were blank as if they were emotionless with tattoos painted over their body.
Sitting at the desk and in front of the men in black suits was a lone man. In his mouth was a pipe that he was smoking, his skin was tanned for a Japanese and above his right eye was a scar. His build was smaller than the bodyguards but each movement was made with an odd sense of elegance.
The clothes he wore were a white suit with black pants like an ordinary office worker.
The man looked back to his men and nodded. One of the men in black suits then brought out a suitcase and placed it down in front of Arai and opened it. Inside, there was cash and it numbered in the 100 000 ¥.
The man sitting opened his hands wide presenting the money. "Of course, Isao. Here it is, in full."
After checking its contents, Arai picked up the suitcase and got up preparing to leave. Just as he was about to leave, the man spoke to Arai.
"A pleasure doing business with you."
Arai stopped when he heard this and turned around.
"I'm sure it is, Mr. Masaru."
Not long after, the group of men could not see Arai anymore as he had left. The man sitting at the table narrowed down his eyes at where Arai stood.
'He does his jobs well when we hire him. Too good in fact, I hate to say it but there's no sorcerer that comes close to him in this field. He doesn't disclose anything and keeps to himself, he doesn't find more trouble when he doesn't need to. Well even if he did then I'd go up against him and hire other sorcerers to kill him.'
Masuru thought but quickly threw that idea out the window.
'Hmph, I'm not dumb enough to go up against him.'
He got up and looked outside his window showing the city of Kyoto and the bright full moon shining down on it. He took the pipe out his mouth letting out a white smoke in the shape of a ring.
'First grade sorcerers are truly terrifying.'
