Capítulo 95: Soothing night breeze
The room was massive, far bigger than he thought it to be. And even the picture shown by the receptionist didn't do its service. He was very happy with the size since he was initially worried about Onix and Gyarados not being able to join everyone else. But since that wasn't a problem, he threw all of his pokeballs out at the same time.
Seven flashes of light illuminated the room and a team of monsters appeared in the room. two titan sized snakes appeared in the background. Gyarados let out a roar that shook the building. And Onix not wanting to be outdone echoed Gyarados's with his own. Everyone in the building felt their scalp go numb when they heard the roars.
Rex laughed at their antics; he didn't really care what they did. "Everyone, relax and enjoy the water and food. You can eat as much as you want." He said with a smile. All of his pokemon cheered in delight. Machamp made his way over to Rex before sighing.
{it's going to be expensive you know,} he said with a smile.
"Don't worry about it, I have money to spare. Let loose and relax." Rex said with a dismissive wave of his hand. He then found a smaller area with bubbling water and got in before calling Elesa.
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
"Hello? Oh, R-Rex how's it going?" asked Elesa when she saw Rex's face. But she blushed when she saw him topless.
"Great, I'm at this restaurant with my pokemon relaxing. I'll be taking in the 6th gym tomorrow and then I'll head to Fuchsia city. But enough about me, how's it going? I heard that a mountain was destroyed. Are you ok?" he asked.
"Y-Yes haha, I'm ok, luckily I wasn't too close." She said stiffly. Rex smiled knowingly. He had the all-knowing system. It had informed him of changes in the weather when it happened and hacked into a satellite to see what was going on. He was shocked to see Elesa there alongside Zapdos and Atricuno. But what made his jaw drop was the battle between her and Zapdos which led to its eventual capture.
He couldn't believe her luck and was very happy for her. It seemed that, by the way she was acting, she was trying to keep it a secret. So, as to not ruin her fun, he kept silent about it and decided to tease her a bit.
"People say that it was due to a battle between legendaries, what do you think?" he asked with a grin.
"W-What! Were there other people nearby?" she asked with a slightly panicked tone. After all, she did just take one of the legendary birds for herself. if other's knew, she would be all over the news, not to mention be swarmed by people and reporters alike.
"Yeah, some people were talking about it over here, I just so happened to hear about it when I was passing by." He lied.
"Wow, news travels fast huh. Yeah, I was nearby when it happened. Couldn't believe I was able to witness such a battle. You should have been here. It was blood boiling." She said with an excited tone. She looked like a kid in a candy shop. Her behaviour made Rex laugh. They continued to talk for about 30 minutes before Elesa hung up saying that she needed to go.
Rex had a happy smile on his face. He was looking forward to battling her again. The only problem was, what pokemon should he use to slap that electric chicken out of the sky? When he thought about that a nasty smirk surfaced on his face. He knew exactly who he was going to use. He subconsciously began to rub his chin. Something he would do often when he was thinking of doing something bad. Machamp who was sitting not far away suddenly felt a shiver go down his spine. Nothing good ever came from that look. He pitied whoever was on the receiving end.
Zapdos who was in his ball shivered intensely as if he was put into a freezer. He didn't know why, but he felt like something very bad was going to happen soon.
Rex and his Pokémon spent a few hours here before exiting. They all felt refreshed and ready to go again. As he walked out of the restaurant, he was thinking about who to send in for this upcoming match. The only pokemon that hadn't battled recently was Victreebell. He had battled dozens of trainers he encountered on the road, but it had still been a while. With that thought in mind, he decided to use Victreebell for this battle.
Upon exiting Rex went to the movies for a good time. he was watching a movie which started Diantha from Kalos. during the movie, a thought surfaced in his head and he could help but praise himself. why not plagiarise the most famous movies from his past life and transfer them here. DC, Marvel, all these massive franchises with hundreds of movies that could be made out of them. it was a cash cow waiting to be milked.
Now he had more things to do when he started his business. he was planning on using the fame from winning the league to boost his sales. he decided to start with pokemon food that was a very watered-down version of his own, but still way better than the ones currently on the market. then he would open up another branch that worked on creating Pokeballs that could heal your pokemon after a fight. but he would put an inbuilt switch that would turn that off while in battle. otherwise, it would be like having regenerator on all of a person's pokemon.
and finally, a third branch that would make movies. it was all coming along nicely.
The night was calm with a soft breeze wafting in through the open windows. The curtains blew and jumped as if doing a dance.
