Donovan did try to talk with Bane. That didn't mean that everything went well however.

The alpha seemed completely disinterested in the subject that the other was trying to bring to his attention.

His only focus was on catching up on the work that he had gotten so far behind on. 

"I told you already, if it isn't work related, it will have to wait until a later point in time." The alpha told his assistant.

"I'm more concerned at the current moment in time about what we will do regarding that presentation that took place before I left." Bane told the other.

"I already took care of that though feel free to evaluate it yourself if you still wish to." Donovan handed the other a folder.

"I made him sign a waiver in which he agrees that if no improvement has been made within the next month he'll either accept a lower position here or look for employment elsewhere." The alpha took the folder so that he could look through it for himself.
