As he thought about it, things really weren’t that bad. Since their break-up he had used his palimony rather frugally. He did tend to indulge the kids, but Jason and he had shared those expenses. His yoga was taken care of through a lifetime membership that he had paid for years ago. When he had decorated the house, he had done it by himself, mainly using paint and good deals on furniture. A few of the pieces he had found at garage sales and sanded down and stained himself, or re-upholstered with help from some do-it-yourself TV shows. His main expense had been paying off the house and that was done now. Other than yearly taxes and utilities, he was home free.
