Nash’s eyebrows shot up. “Are you gonna invite me in or not?”
“Invite you in?” Arlo knew he was repeating Nash, but invite him in? “I…erm…sure.”
“Love the enthusiasm,” Nash muttered as Arlo passed him.

Nash had to bend not to hit his head on the ceiling. “Shit, how can you live like this?”
Arlo grinned, and Nash’s heart skipped a beat. He was fucking beautiful in an odd way. With his hair away from his face, his features became more prominent. His lips were full, his eyes large and wide set, and his nose delicate. Altogether, with his long hair and heart-shaped face, it gave him a feminine appearance. Nash hadn’t thought much about it before but…did elves exist? Nah, he couldn’t be an elf. Had there been elves he’d known about it, and elves didn’t have eyes that turned dark. No creature he knew of did.
“The ceiling gets higher in the other rooms, it’s just here in the hallway and in the doorways it’s this low.”
