Bill solved the problem for him. Bill began talking about his divorce. “Like I told you at the party, my ex and I were having trouble getting pregnant with our second kid. It was more that I was less and less interested in sex with her than anything else. I accidently left one of the gay sites I visited regularly minimized on the computer, and she found it. She went snooping around and discovered the messages I’d sent to guys arranging to meet. Man, you shoulda seen her blow. I can’t blame her though. I was cheating on her. Anyway, after the dust settled and I swept up the broken china, we decided to call it quits. Was that what happened with you and your wife? Did she find out about you, too?”

“No,” Dan said, relieved that at least he knew now where Bill stood. “Like I told you, we split because we couldn’t have kids, and it was my fault.” He went on to tell Bill about his low sperm count and lack of sperm motility.
