Capítulo 21: Chapter 21

“Mikael Jarvela.” Sean heard him answer the call. Then for a moment, Mikael was quiet before tugging his glove off and snapping his fingers quickly. Everyone went quiet and slowly gathered closer. “Yes, yes I remember talking with you,” Mikael said in a polite, neutral voice. He made a few “m-hm” sounds and then his gaze flickered to Sean quickly, then away. “Yes. Yes, I’ve heard a rumor, I suppose you could call it. Right. Right. Okay. Well, to me that’s completely acceptable. It’s close and we’re fine here.”

Again a bit of silence before: “Would you mind telling me who exactly you’re moving to live there? At least how many and what species?” Mikael cringed at the answer, making Maxim murmur quietly. The teens were really quiet, and even the kids managed to stay still and listen.
