"What do you want to ask about?" asks Lisanna after she & Ben go out of the building.
"Which one are you?" asks Ben.
"Eh? What do you mean?" asks Lisanna confusedly.
"Are you their Lisanna or our Lisanna? Which one are you?" asks Ben.
"I-I don't understand what you mean," says Lisanna.
"You know, I have lived with spirits for years and I have rather keen senses. That's why I am used to souls and can sense them somehow. I can feel if something is wrong with someone's soul and I feel it from you," says Ben.
Lisanna widens her eyes before sighing and says, "I really can't hide it from you, huh? Not you or Edolas Ben. Alright, I'll tell you the truth first. I am Edolas Lisanna but also Earth Land Lisanna."
Ben frowns and says, "Explain it."
2 years ago when Elfman lost control and almost hit Lisanna, Ben has succeeded to stop him. Lisanna should be fine, but an unknown thing happened and she lost her soul. Her body is fine but they still can't find her soul.
Unknown to anyone, Lisanna's soul was sucked by Anima. If Ben didn't use his magic at that time, then her body will also get sucked here because Anima sucks Magic Power and her body is full of Magic Power.
Right when she get sucked by Anima, Edolas Lisanna was on the verge of death. Her soul was withdrawn to Edolas Lisanna and entered her body. It saved Edolas Lisanna but it also become trouble for them.
"Edolas Lisanna's soul was damaged when she almost died. It takes time for the soul to recover fully and she finally recovered a few months ago. There's no problem when her soul was still damaged, but when she recovered, problems start to arise," says Lisanna.
Her body and mind can't handle 2 perfect souls at once. It will make her have a kind of split personality just like Brain & Zero sooner or later. But it's even more dangerous for Lisanna's case because they are 2 different souls while Brain & Zero is the same person with one soul.
One soul will eventually need to be removed or Lisanna's mental & body will break. The problem is that removing one soul also means killing that soul. Also, even if they want it, they can't do it with Magic and technologies in Edolas.
"Actually, Edolas Ben left a few months ago to find a solution for this problem. Edolas Lisanna and I told him he doesn't need to worry about it because we've accepted our fate. But he doesn't listen and just left. Right now, we really feel guilty because we are putting him in danger," says Lisanna sadly.
"He is your Guild Master, right? That must mean that he is strong," says Ben.
"He is the strongest in our Guild. Even without using any magic, he can handle a Royal Army Captain alone. If he uses his Magic Item, then he can hold his ground against all Royal Army Captains for some time. That's why the Kingdom gives his head a very high bounty," says Lisanna.
"Heh, as I thought of my other self," says Ben smugly.
"But even he won't be able to win against the Kingdom alone. That's why everyone is very worried about him because there has been no news at all from him in these few months," says Lisanna.
"If he can do all of that then he will do just fine, you need to believe in him. What you need to worry about is yourself. Luckily, I might have a method to save you without damaging both of your souls," says Ben.
"Really?! How?" asks Lisanna in surprise.
"By utilizing Seith Magic to take one of your souls. But I haven't practiced it even though I've learned it, so I need time. Besides, I can't use the raw Seith Magic, it needs to be modified for this specific purpose. It will be easier if Bickslow is here because he is a Seith Magic-user, so I need to find him," says Ben.
Lisanna smiles and says, "You don't need to rush it or force yourself. We won't blame you even if you fail."
"I will blame myself if I fail to save you. I don't want Mira & Elfman to feel what I felt, so I'll make sure to save you," says Ben while rubbing Lisanna's hair.
Lisanna smiles and says, "Both you and Edolas Ben really like to rub people's hair. I guess not everyone is too different, huh?"
"Hah, not too different? I am far stronger than my Edolas self, so we are different," says Ben smugly.
Lisanna laughs and then Ben tells him to be careful before leaving for Capital. He needs to find his guildmates and most importantly Mystogan. That guy seems to know a lot about what happened.
"Ugh, but I never met him so I don't know how he looks. How should I find him? Also, I am a criminal in this Kingdom, so I can't move in the Capital blatantly," says Ben while driving to Capital.
While he goes to the Capital, Ben asks AI Chip to modify the Seith Magic to save Lisanna. He is really glad that he did on his one-year journey and find the Magic Library. It will be a lot more difficult and maybe impossible for him to save Lisanna if he didn't go on his journey.
"I'm glad I have scanned all Black Magic and even Black & White Arts that are recorded in Magic Library. These types of Magic are involving souls, so they can be used to help Lisanna," says Ben.
2 hours later, Ben enters a forest that's close to the Royal Capital. He doesn't use the road to avoid people because Magic Vehicle is only used by Mages or rich people. Magic is prohibited to use, so he needs to avoid people from seeing him.
Some minutes later, someone blocks his way and points a black double-bladed spear at him. He sighs and wants to confront the robber but then he raises an eyebrow when he sees the robber carefully.
"Sigh, such a coincidence," says Ben as he gets out of his car.
"I don't want to hurt you, so just give your vehicle to me," says the robber.
"Are you sure you want to rob yourself," says Ben.
"Huh? What do you-?" the robber gets confused but then his jaw drops in surprise.
"EH?! Y-YOU, HOW-?" says the robber in shock.
"Well, why don't we talk for a moment, my Edolas counterpart," says Ben.
Yes, the robber is none other than Edolas Ben who has the exact same face as Ben. Of course, Edolas Ben is very surprised by this because he hasn't known anything yet. He is now getting warier because he thinks Earth Land Ben is an impostor.
"I know what you're thinking, but I assure you I am not an impostor," says Ben.
"As if I'll believe it easily," says Edolas Ben.
"Then let's talk like this for now so you will believe me. This distance is safe enough, so if one of us attack, the other can easily dodge. How is it?" asks Ben.
"Hmm, fine," says Edolas Ben while still holding his black double-bladed spear in caution.
Ben sighs before he starts to explain about himself and what happened to him. Edolas Ben listens carefully while trying to find out if Ben is honest. In the end, Edolas Ben can't find any lie in Ben's story.
"Have you believed it now?" asks Ben.
"Almost. I know about Earth Land and Anima, but I can't just believe that you are from Earth Land. If you're really from Earth Land, then show me that you can use Magic without using a magic item," says Edolas Ben.
"Sure," says Ben as he produces a flame on his hand.
Edolas Ben has his jaw drops again but now he really believes the Earth Land Ben.
"Alright, I believe you now," says Edolas Ben as he puts his spear on his back.
"Great, now we can work together," says Ben while grinning excitedly.
