Capítulo 46: Internships with Last laser: Part 5
The next day, Doryoku found himself (as had become his habit) meditating on the sofa in the living room early, trying to find something that would serve as motivation, or something like that.
'If a cowboy doesn't have cows, is he still a cowboy?' Doryoku thought with great intrigue and curiosity not quite knowing when he missed his train of thought.
Doryoku shook his head forgetting the subject and trying to focus on what was important, the reason to help others.
So much meditation was of some use, since Doryoku now understood perfectly that he had to find something that would unite his way of thinking and his current feelings to the rest of the normal people, something that they both shared and that really touched him.
And although it was not a great advance, it was another point of view, and each point of view was only one more possibility of understanding.
Even so, it was currently impossible to find a feeling that linked him to all normal people, he barely understood how to feel at what time and understand a shared world feeling as he decided to name it was not possible under his criteria.
'There has to be something, whatever, I really want to help, but I don't know if that's part of me' Doryoku thought as he teased his hair with some concern.
Was he a bad person and his lack of feelings kept that evil at bay? Is there anything good about him other than affection for his mother and friends? What do normal people feel, how is it being normal?
Doryoku thought and thought about possible options, paths, possibilities, tragedies, absolutely everything that went through his mind was a senseless chaos and at the same time a scenario that could be fulfilled perfectly.
Doryoku suddenly remembered that he should call his mother, so he decided to take a deep breath and stop thinking for a moment, something that really brought him a lot of peace.
Before under a thought as extensive as that it was impossible to escape, he only had to continue until at some point his thoughts stop tormenting him, that's why he always tried to distract himself, to stop thinking or at least think of something simple.
After a short break, talking to his mother and relaxing quite a bit, Doryoku tried to get back to his previous line of thought without getting too lost and thinking again for what seemed like a few minutes, until...
"Hey boy, it's already night" Last laser said appearing in front of Doryoku and making him let out a tired and somewhat worried sigh.
"Another day has passed, and I don't even know if I'll be able to continue moving forward" Doryoku said quite tired and exasperated at not having any progress or ideas today.
"Boy, what you are looking for is something that not many even begin to look for or really need, basically you are one of the few who really need it, it is something that will mark your way of thinking, and knowing how flexible your mind is, it won't be easy to find" Last laser said with an explanatory tone and slowly, making Doryoku only worry more about his words.
"Even so, don't put so much pressure on yourself, if you can't find it it's because you don't have it, if you don't have it it's because you're not made to be a hero, that would be a bad thing for anyone, but for you... Well, you said it, being a hero was never the main plan" Last laser said remembering the first words Doryoku said at the beginning of these internships making him nod with understanding.
It was true, if he couldn't find that reason, it was because he wasn't in the right place, and although it was of great importance, it wasn't something fatal, it wasn't the end of the world.
"Thank you very much, Laser-sensei" Doryoku said with much more calm and gratitude.
"That's why I'm here for, by the way, I also wanted to talk to you about a certain matter" Last laser said shrugging his shoulders and drawing Doryoku's attention with his last sentence.
"It turns out that I received a message in which I can most likely solve or at least start to solve the informants problem, but for that I will have to go to a trap in the middle of the night today" Last laser said with a explanatory and serious tone while Doryoku had quite a few doubts.
"Why don't you just call High command-sensei to help you?" Doryoku said giving a quite valid but clear point from an inexperienced.
"It's a very personal topic boy, I said it from the beginning, besides, the one waiting is an expert, if I'm accompanied by insurance, he won't appear and I won't be able to know more about this" said Last laser with some tiredness and wanting to know exactly what this whole show meant.
"Boy, there are hardly any agencies near here, this area is very safe and hardly anything happens, so I don't recommend you depend on a professional in the area, that's all" said Last laser with an explanatory tone while thinking about some simple recommendations.
"I don't even know if anything will happen here when I leave, but I think it's better that you know all this" Last laser said with a calm tone as he walked towards his room.
"But Laser-sensei, what am I supposed to do if someone comes? How do I act? What should I think?" Doryoku said getting up from the sofa with too many questions and hardly any answers from Last laser.
Last laser paused for a moment, and turned around to answer Doryoku quite calmly...
"I trust your talent and judgment, I know you will make a good decision when the time comes, you can go home, or you can stay and wait, whatever you think is better" Last laser said with seriousness and confidence in his student while he was opening his eyes with quite a shock.
Last laser kept walking and came to his room to prepare everything, leaving Doryoku with a strange mixture of thoughts and feelings.
Doryoku shook his head and stopped thinking for a moment, at least for now the important thing was to find something to eat before anything else.

Last laser prepared everything and dressed in his hero suit, that vest that exposed his abdomen unnecessarily and mainly that kind of ornament on his forehead with a yellow crystal in the center.
Last laser slowly lowered and looked towards the sofa in the living room discovering that Doryoku was not there.
'The safest decision huh? Quite typical of the boy' thought Last laser not very surprised with Doryoku's decision.
He kept walking to the cooking room to quickly get something to eat before leaving, but when he got there he found something that surprised him a bit.
"Ugh, it's too tight like this" Doryoku said almost choking on his own tie as he wore his hero suit and had his mask on a small table in front of him.
"Hey boy, what the hell are you still doing here?" Last laser said suddenly making Doryoku freak out a bit and get ready to fight.
"Uh? Oh, Laser-sensei you scared me" Doryoku said letting his guard down and heaving a sigh of relief.
"Well, you see, I have to admit that staying here is irrational stupidity, but I'm supposed to stop being a thoughtful lunatic, right? Also, I want to restore the trust you have in me" Doryoku said giving his point of view with visible worry and doubts, but at least trying to be better as a person.
"You're right, it's stupid, but this is a small step forward" Last laser said smiling slightly at the ridiculous and unpredictable for him, Doryoku's decision.
"It's 11:00 pm and the meeting or rather trap is at 2:00 am, don't tell me that you want to go too?" Last laser said with a calm tone and curiosity about the latest.
"No not really" Doryoku said refusing almost adamantly and with some trepidation as Last laser nodded approvingly.
"Well, your brain isn't melt, at least not completely, it's not good to go crazy with your feelings either" Last laser said with recognition and giving some very important advice while Doryoku nodded in agreement.
Last laser walked to the living room being followed by Doryoku and later reached the entrance of the home to ironically leave.
"You remember everything I said right? If something happens there won't be anyone to come and rescue you for a long time, keep that in mind" Last laser said leaving the home without saying anything else as Doryoku locked the door a few minutes after his departure.
"Well, don't go crazy yet, hell I'm talking alone" Doryoku said already with enough tension and attentive to any strange sound as he activated his quirk.

Through the dark streets of Japan, Last laser was walking slowly towards his destination which was a bit far, but he didn't seem to be in much of a hurry to get there on time.
Because, he was a murderer most likely, what would he do if he let him wait and get upset, kill him with more intensity?
The streets were quite well lit actually, but this only made the shadows in the alleys appear darker, it was almost like a reflection of the current society under his eyes.
It was a little cold too, but it wasn't really anything to complain about, and although he was probably heading for a death foretold, Last laser didn't seem scared in any way, he just felt a strange impatience.
After an hour of nocturnal walking, Last laser arrived at the area that was explained to him, but not the specific place.
And as he remembered it, the place was surrounded by several buildings, which meant that the street between them had several gusts of cold wind and that the place was not very crowded.
In fact, if he remembered correctly, there were several complaints in some of the surrounding buildings, since there was nothing in these streets or anywhere to buy food nearby, and consequently, no place to steal that a villain would be interested in.
After a few more minutes, Last laser arrived at the exact place he was told, basically the central point of the area he was in and where those features mentioned before had only a greater presence, with only some light poles that barely illuminated.
Last laser remained alert although his expression did not change, after all the point was to know more about this show quickly, not to die.
After a few minutes, he felt a very faint and almost imperceptible presence behind him, so he turned around to look in that direction.
"The boss told me to be careful with you, but I didn't think he was so right" said a male voice approaching slowly and making Last laser have a rather careful expression.
Coming out of the shadows and making himself present, Last laser could see a man a little shorter than him, about 1.78 meters tall, a robust body and earth-colored hair as well as a raincoat of the same color, which had an expression of strange confidence.
"You seem very confident, that just tells me that your words couldn't be more empty at first glance" Last laser said finding one of the man's characteristics instantly.
"I guess you're not entirely wrong, it was a reflection of self-confidence I guess" said the man with earth-colored hair with a slight calm smile.
'There's something else, probably an ace up his sleeve' was the second characteristic Last laser was able to pull out, although he obviously didn't say it out loud.
"So, are you going to try to kill me first, or are you going to answer questions?" Last laser said straight to the point as always.
"Go ahead, the boss gave me little directions, but you can ask with confidence" said the man with a wide friendly smile, although no one could be fooled by it.
"Why did you take so long?" Last laser said asking a rather simple question apparently.
"It seems that you had a great impatience huh? It's quite simple, there is something that the boss wants to prove with you" said the man quite calmly and giving as little information as possible.
"So that was it huh? That's why all the informants except two were rookies, they're just testing them with me" Last laser said quickly finding the bottom of the matter and making the man click his tongue in annoyance for the first time.
"You don't miss a thing, huh Last laser? Exactly, the boss sent one rookie after another just to measure their talents with you" said the man with visible annoyance and increasingly annoyed by Laser's insight.
"You could have just sent a hitman every night, it would have been much less annoying" Last laser said with quite annoyance and some relief to finally know the reason for the whole show.
"It was the boss's orders, after all he knows perfectly well that death is not the greatest misfortune for you" said the man, resuming his happy smile while Last laser let out a long sigh.
"By the way, the informants weren't just for show, they also gave us a lot of information, especially about your apprentice, so a small comparison would be very interesting" said the man smiling broadly while Last laser looked at him quite seriously.
