All my frustration sizzled away when I saw Luca and Ash coming into my office together.

Those were my two favorite people.

They wore matching guilty expressions, and my heart swelled at the thought that they were getting along.

I didn't realize at what point the last traces of my resentment toward Ash disappeared completely. Was it because Luca was angry for both of us, because my love for Luca overpowered everything else, or because I was grateful to Ash? Yes, after thinking about our past and everything we've been through together, I was grateful. If Ash didn't cheat on me, it would be much harder to let go and enjoy with Luca, not because I had lingering feelings toward Ash, but because I would feel guilty for leaving him behind.
