Spence pulls two slices of pizza from one box and plops them down on a plate in front of me. He picks up a crushed pepper package.
Scrunching my nose, I shake my head. Next, he holds up a cheese packet, which I nod yes to. He sprinkles cheese over my pizza. When he holds anchovies over the slice, I narrow my eyes. He chuckles, tossing an anchovy into his mouth.
With my right hand, I pick up one slice and take a bite.
Vlad's brows shoot upward. He peers at me and grins.
"What? You look like you swallowed a canary. So, spill it."
"The smile on your lips and food in your belly bring me joy and satisfaction."
"I understand you prefer to drink tea that is hot, Pet." Gaila sets a coffee mug in front of me. "It has only the tea and cream, no sugar. It appears to be nothing more than colored water with a dairy product. However, Spence said, you drink your tea weak."
